  1. Hi KIt.  Thanks for checking in on my 48 Ranchero.  Any comments or suggestions from you would be appreciated.

  2. Thanks for checking in on me. I added another fan to the radiator so now I have two side by side instead of one in the the middle. FYI The fans are out of the Matt and Deb Hay Thunderbird.
  3. If you happen to have a pair of the custom rear fenders from the AMT Ertl '53 Ford F-100 you may find that the overall shape of those fenders more closely resemble the 1:1 57 Chevy rear truck fenders than the fenders in this kit.
  4. that rear jamb is a work of art. I agree with your comments about opening doors. There is a lot to it when done correctly as you are doing.
  5. Got all the pulley brackets done and the radiator is about finished. I need to do some alignment particularly the power steering pump needs to be moved forward.
  6. I like wheels number 2. That color will be awesome. The windshield and back window can both be a bit tricky.
  7. Hi Francis. Thanks for checking in and the kind words of encouragement.
  8. Built an a/c compressor and bracket from aluminum tubing and sheet.
  9. The inner fenders look amazing.
  10. Very nicely done. Too bad they will be mostly covered up when the door is in place.
  11. Nice work on the springs. It is all coming together quite nicely.
  12. Hi Scott. Thanks for checking in. Glad you like it.
  13. That blue is awesome.
  14. I am anxious to see how your control arms turned out.
  15. Hi Ian. Thanks for checking in. Sounds like you were able to make some control arms for your Camaro. Hope they work out OK for you..
  16. Nicely done. The engine bay is very realistically weathered. The color choice looks good with the chrome.
  17. Bed strips harvested from Amt flip nose 53 pickup and covered in tape used to seal furnace ducts. The wood is basswood with cherry stain and a dozen coats of duplicolor automotive clear polished with Maguire's mirror glaze.
  18. Far out!!!!. Paneling is spot on. That chair is really nicely done.
  19. Nice work so far. I have been following and enjoying this thread for quite a while. I am not really a drag car fan but I love to see excellent detail work where ever it shows up.
  20. Hi Frances. I have opened a few doors over the years. It looks like you are doing everything correctly so far. (No surprise, everything you do is about the best I have ever seen.) I like the reinforcement you built in to the fender to hide the thickness of the rest of the fender. I am curious to see what you come up with for hinges for a door that opens to the inside of the fender.
  21. Interior looks nice. I like the wheels you are using on your last post.
  22. thanks for liking my 48 Ranchero.

  23. Added under hood bracing detail and got the hood hinges built. The hinges are carved out of aluminum and will be polished. I will run stainless tubing between the hinges where the pin is up by the hood to hold everything in place.
  24. Nice foil work. I like the color combo.
