  1. Notice the word "clone"-- the car in the link Jon shared (no offense) is not the same as the original. https://www.motortrend.com/news/hrxp-1207-1961-mooneyes-moon-yellow-a-dragster/
  2. ^This. Those who are honest with themselves realize it won't be corrected, and at this price point, there's little incentive for a manufacturer to do so. You don't get Tamiya quality at a Lindberg price point. It took accusations of "it's dead" to even get Moebius or anyone representing the company to share any news, and they seem to be relying upon the general public to happen by there CA store to take and share images of their future product-- not a great sign, but I suspect it really doesn't matter if their intended customers see anything before the box is resting upon on a retail-level shelf.
  3. Either would work, but so would a two-part epoxy. Really depends upon which is easiest or most convenient for you. I think JB Weld might be overkill, but it would likely provide the strongest bond among the three. You don't have a MIG or TIG welder, by chance, do you? ?

  5. New Box art below for the 1/25 Mooneyes Dragster by Gene Chambers. PREORDERING WILL BEGIN END OF JULY FOR THIS ITEM.
  6. All good, just didn't want anyone to be confused. I think the 1/25 scale version was posted on the forum previously, but it may have been a few years ago. A '72-'80 version would be most welcome in 1/16 scale. I'll have to look through previous offerings, but I like the idea of upscaling 1/25 kits to 1/16, and it seems to work especially well with pickups, given the separate cab and bed, and keeping in mind 3D print bed size limitations.
  7. Are yours 1/25 or 1/16 scale? IIRC they were previously offered in 1/25 (maybe still are?), but just to be clear, the one I linked to is 1/16 scale.
  8. This seller has been 3D printing masters for years, and this trans kit is exactly what it says it is in the description. Here's what the seller is offering: Here's his Futurliner post from 2016:

  10. They do appear to be deep dish-ish, so maybe? I don't have any to look over, so maybe someone else can help more.
  11. Kit content images here: https://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/1607/1-16-revell-porsche-928
  12. They scale out closer to 16" diameter, too, so probably not a good match for the Batmobile. The AMT Fireball 500 kit, which was reissued not all that long ago has a smaller diameter set which I think might be a better match. You can get a decent look at them in hpiguy's video here:
  13. 1/24 '56 Ford Thunderbird (#4518): 1/25 Henry J drag car ("gasser"), #4514, previously mentioned:
  14. Thanks, Mike. For comparison, here are the three previous kits which included the trailer: 1) AMT 1961 Buick Special Wagon: 2) AMT 1962 Buick Special Wagon: 3) AMT 1963 Chevy II Nova 400 Wagon:
  15. Thanks for sharing that, Mike. Are the loose parts pictured from the original mold (section? insert?)? Same tires as included with the car it looks like?
  16. That was almost always my experience with AMT kits rom the Lesney era-- poor mating surfaces, limited (if any) locating pins/grooves, etc., and just a general "close enough" feel. Not exactly AMT's high point in quality and engineering, IMHO. Ha! Nice to read a European builder's perspective here every once in a while, as it's usually the opposite we hear complaints about.
  17. I'm betting we'll see that combo kit as the Indy Drag Combo II in a few years. The AWB Chevy II kit was reissued by AMT/Ertl and RC2, so it shouldn't require too much work to put into production.
