  3. I don't know...if these folks in the know know better than most, who are we to say no?
  4. Ah, makes sense now, thanks. I see the three-section driveshaft now, looking back over the parts, and even a support bearing, too. Hopefully the plow isn't that same (or very close to the same) size as the plow from the Revell 1/24 GMC 4x4 Pickup kit, but I suppose it'll be sized and proportioned to work with Moebius' 1/25 Ford Pickups.
  5. I bet very few people did, and those who did were likely not at liberty to say. A vintage ramp bed with proper dually style wheels is long overdue, and this should be an absolute smash hit when it hits the retail level. I love that a new(?), extended length frame (is there a matching driveshaft, too?) was created, too. Thank you Moebius for making the (insert non-complimentary adjective here) MPC ramp bed obsolete. I hope they got their money's worth on the recent reissue.... Thank you for sharing this, Jesse. ?
  6. Here's a topic specific to Bob Paeth art:
  7. If ever there was a hobby set up for people in quarantine...
  8. I don't think is was all that long ago that Ken shut things down, but I didn't want to get the O.P.'s hopes up.
  9. Kitchen Table Resins has been OOB for a while now, so a N.O.S. engine would likely need to be sourced on eBay or similar. https://public.fotki.com/KenK/kitchen_table_resin_kits/ford-big-six-240300/
  10. Since when did a thumbs up, wave, peace sign, or a Yankee Wave cease to be considered communication? Hand signals and signs were around before spoken and written words, so just because it's not your or my preferred form of communication doesn't mean it can be dismissed entirely. Sometimes a "like" may seem impersonal to some, but there are other reasons why the person giving the like may prefer to acknowledge the post/idea/image without physically typing a reply using words. People always throw out the "we need to encourage younger people to become more involved in the hobby" yet when presented with an idea which would help toward that goal, all you old, grumpy men jump at the chance to tell us all what a bad idea it is. It's fine if you don't like it, but consider your own resistance to progress (yes, it may not seem like progress at to some of you, but, time marches forward...) and the impression that gives younger folks when they read it. If you want to emphasize written, formal communication over emojis and such, then consider the effect your own words, especially when written in a negative or dismissive way, have on others.
  11. Consider that AMT was about to get very deep into slot car racing right around then, so there's at least some possibility they had already designed the wheels for a Lola kit which never saw the light of day, and decided to put the design/wheel to use, no matter how unlikely the pairing seems. Thanks for the info, Dave. Hopefully Round2 is aware of the newly created misfit issue, too.
  12. Out of curiosity, are the recesses on both sides (where the wheel covers and/or wheel backs fit into) identical? In other words, if the wheel backs don't fit on one side, do they fit better when placed inside the opposite side's recess? Not sure if there are any raised characters on the sidewalls or not, but perhaps the tires have specific inside and outside faces, and the whitewall bands were printed on the incorrect side. IIRC, the reissued '59 El Camino in the Original Art Series box was the last to include a hood clip, so perhaps Round2 decided it wasn't worth the trouble this time? All that clip is goin to do is hep ensure the paint on the rear corners of the hood will chip and/or wear off way too soon, anyway. ?
  13. Fully molded in front and rear suspension featuring not one single separate part, a three-piece(!) interior featuring a molded in seat and little to no door panel detail, a bed underside which is molded integrally with both the frame and cab floor pan, and a thick metal axle passing directly though the engine is "dead on accurate"? The dual rear axle option is horrendous, too. That's like upgrading to a Fiat X/19 from a Yugo. Better?..maybe, but still not good. The only reason this kit keeps being reissued is there's plenty of demand but other scale competition. Mike's suggestion of an all-new kit has a lot of merit-- an all-new kit is long overdue.
  14. Nice reference photo of the firewall, prior to the body drop stage of assembly:
  15. Made by T&T Productions, and the others they offered are called out on one side of the box:
  16. Good catch. The "D" pre-fix should've tipped me off. They are in fact, die-cast models so I deleted them.
  17. Looks like this one is back and headed for production, with the same MPC 828 kit number as earlier.
  18. So Revell can and does get things correct sometimes. ? Steve, do you, by chance, have a list of the kits you built for H-L and Model King?
  19. Yikes, that's disappointing too read. I had hoped Revell recycled those horrible two-piece tire molds long ago. This seems to be an issue with all Revell kits molded stateside-- Chevy Luv, Dodge Ramcharger, etc.
