  1. Very pleased with the way these came out.
  2. I've avoided any of the models of newer cars because of lack-of-detail/curbside appearance of the models. Will definitely consider buying one of these. Paint color should be like Bill said, something bright like the new GM electric blue or the burnt orange.
  3. Nice paint and foil. Those late 50's GM cars had some serious chrome. The most labor intensive model to foil for me is the 58 Impala.
  4. I like the last 2, mostly leaning toward the Artillery wheels.
  5. $75, for the 1/!2 Revell F2002 when it first came out. (Then I paid $150 for the Scalemotorsports detail set )
  6. Very cool! Nice work blending the two together.
  7. Looking good. I'll be watching this build. I've been working on the plastic version of this kit on and off for several years. Its a frustrating semi crude kit that requires some work to make it look right.
  8. Very clean build, nicely done.
  9. In my case just a few cars: 63 Splitwindow (most beautiful car, in my opinion) 58 Impala (baby blue, like the one my dad had) 69 Chevelle (to replace the one I should have never sold) And a new Z06...
  10. Probably so, but it was cool to hear 20 cars sidestep the clutch at 20 grand plus. ?
  11. Like the wider tires, now just get rid of Kers and the tiny turbo V6's and go back to traction control V10's screaming to 20,000 rpms.
  12. I know Gregg is behind the proverbial 8-ball so to speak. Has anyone received issue 200? I received 199 quite a while ago and according to my renewal letter my last issue is supposed to be issue #200. I wait patiently as always, but I am leery about renewing my subscription. I really enjoy the magazine but I may go back to newsstand hunting.
  13. Nice job, great color.
  14. Got a renewal letter saying issue 200 is my last issue, still haven't gotten it. Last one was November. Love the magazine and the convenience of subscribing. But I might go back to finding my copies on the newsstand/hobbyshop, they seem to get them sooner.
  15. One of my favorite body styles, wish I still had my 69.
  16. A new tool 63 Splitwindow based on Revell's molds. I had the pleasure of talking to Ed Sexton at the IPMS convention in Orlando several years ago, I asked if a 63 was in the future. He said it is a frequently requested model, no hint from him if it was in the cards though. I know I would buy several.
  17. I've done one trade on this forum and it turned out well. I asked if anyone had the glass and instructions for the Monogram Callaway Corvette. A gentleman in England sent them to me, asking nothing in return. I asked if there was anything he needed/or would like. He said it was hard to get Pegasus wheels over there, so I sent him a couple of sets. There are considerate and grateful people out there.
  18. Going to be watching your build. I've been wanting to do the same car after seeing it in a magazine. Glad there are decals available now.
  19. One word,"Wow!" ?
  20. To quote Sgt. Hulka from the movie Stripes,"Lighten up Francis". I was joking around, to each their own. You buy and build what want, its just a hobby.
  21. Gee, do you rivet counters go around popping little kids balloons at birthday parties? Lol. I'm just glad the model companies give us brand new kits to build, even with some of the errors. In light of our hobby declining (especially among younger people),its a welcome addition to all of our growing stashes.
  22. Absolutely amazing work, you have a great deal of patience and skill. I have been following your thread occasionally to see your progress, and I have one question. Are you going to paint everything or leave it all bare metal?
  23. I noticed that. Really, getting something that basic wrong. Hey resin casters out there, heres another item to add to your lists.
  24. Very cool build, nice work.
