  1. In 1984 my girlfriend's father had a '79 Mustang Cobra he bought new. At five years old it was the most wretched car I had ever driven. Pretty much everything inside and out was broken, faded, cracked, distorted, the paint was falling off of it, and the 5.0 was profoundly gutless. The car in the OP reminds me of it.
  2. Quite a variety of cars, thanks for posting. I think my fav is the white 55 Chevy, but the one I want to take home is the green Pinto.
  3. Nice set up, Bill.
  4. Looking good so far, Mike. Just picked up one of these last week. I'm watching.
  5. Welcome to the forum, Tommy, and welcome back to the hobby. Cheers.
  6. Welcome to the forum, Ken.
  7. Welcome to the forum, John.
  8. Welcome to the forum, Yekun.
  9. Digging the concept, Jim. Looking good.
  10. Oh, oh, oh... I need those hub caps!
  11. Nice corners.
  12. Beautiful Chevelle, John. Really dig that colour. Nice work.
  13. Hadn't checked in on this one in a while. Things are looking great. I think you nailed the body colour. The bonnet detailing is fantastic. Loving the lead strap, got to get me some of that. Need some of that brass blackening agent as well. Very handy tip... cheers.
  14. That’s my method, too. That, combined with panel scribing and block sanding, IMHO, usually makes the nicest panel lines. This is one of those times when under-doing it is better than over-doing it. In many cases it seems applying a dark wash to panel lines on top of the final paint is a bit too much. Sometimes, with good panel scribing, no additional accent is needed at all.
  15. Very nice, Greg. That really looks the part.
  16. Very cool, both the project and the 1:1. I have a couple tracked projects myself in my project book, so I'll be watching this one.
  17. I have never consulted a youtube video for any model related issues or techniques. However, I have a project I've been working on that requires a figure to be posed with the car. I've never done a figure before, and I'm completely unfamiliar with the techniques used to achieve the very high degree of realism I require. I've put a lot of thought into how I will approach some elements of the figure build, and working in isolation, I've come up with some solutions. But there are some aspects of the figure where I need outside help to get the desired result, and I'm looking for an online forum that specialises in figures, where I can lurk and pick up some tips. However, I suspect youtube will also come to the rescue for some of that, too.
  18. Very cool build, Mike. I always liked the Tommy Grove Mustangs, and their clean appearance. And of course, anything with a Cammer is super cool. You nailed the look. Well done.
  19. Very cool old school dragster. These things must have been crazy freaky to drive. Very nicely done.
  20. Good looking Mustang.
  21. Interesting project. Looking forward to seeing this come together.
  22. Good looking pair of Camaros.
  23. Very nice, Ray. Stripe delete and black wheels make for a cool, all-business look. I like it. Regarding the kit itself, it is clear if features numerous significant shortcomings compared to the Monogram kit.
  24. Beautiful 911. Great detailing. Love it.
  25. Neat build, Bill. Elegant, yet spooky. Well done.
