It's worth mentioning that Evergreen sheets .020" and thinner are easily cut with scissors, and even .030" with a good sturdy pair of scissors. It really speeds up rough cutting of pieces to be trued with files and/or sandpaper afterwards.
Looking good. I took much the same approach with my interior. A lot of what's there is not really representative of the 1:1, so rather that get caught up in the weeds of reconstructing it, I just worked with what is there. Your flocking looks very nice and even.
Very interesting. I can think of a number of uses, but the effect on that purple body shows great potential for weathering, which I had never considered.
