  1. Cool project. Looking forward to seeing that build.
  2. Love, love, love the old school haulers with race cars. Very cool! Is that white Ford panel the old Monogram '55? Looks great stock.
  3. Digging this suggestion. Something like this with white interior would look good on the big Buick.
  4. Welcome to the forum, David. Cheers.
  5. Yes, I agree 100%. How I would love to see these scripts in other kits, and I would happily pay a bit more for it, too, if they are well done. In many cases, much better than PE. Unfortunately some kit makers are leaning the other way lately and replacing 3D scripts with miserably ineffective decals. Unless a kit is an absolute must-have (and with almost 600 in the stash, very few are these days), I won't buy it if the scripts are decals.
  6. I bought a set similar to these for Ferrari, Lotus, and Lamborghini a few years ago. Not sure if these are the exact ones I bought, but they look the same. They are like a self-adhesive metal transfer. The ones I bought look nice, but the 'metal' is very soft and easy to distort when cuttting from the fret, and the adhesive on the back is quite thick, like craft-store spray adhesives. I tried to remove the adhesive with lacquer thinner, but no luck. Other solvents may work, such as acetone, or maybe Goo-Gone. The scripts themselves look very nice. chrome(metal) decals Lambao B (Golden) 2153 | eBay chrome(metal) decals Lambao B (silver) 2153 | eBay
  7. Clear gauge lenses for that custom interior, too. Pretty neat.
  8. Looking good, Mike. The detailing is really making this thing come alive.
  9. That exhaust is, um, interesting. Someone should get that guy a tube bender for Christmas.
  10. In 1984 my girlfriend's father had a '79 Mustang Cobra he bought new. At five years old it was the most wretched car I had ever driven. Pretty much everything inside and out was broken, faded, cracked, distorted, the paint was falling off of it, and the 5.0 was profoundly gutless. The car in the OP reminds me of it.
  11. Quite a variety of cars, thanks for posting. I think my fav is the white 55 Chevy, but the one I want to take home is the green Pinto.
  12. Nice set up, Bill.
  13. Looking good so far, Mike. Just picked up one of these last week. I'm watching.
  14. Welcome to the forum, Tommy, and welcome back to the hobby. Cheers.
  15. Welcome to the forum, Ken.
  16. Welcome to the forum, John.
  17. Welcome to the forum, Yekun.
  18. Digging the concept, Jim. Looking good.
  19. Oh, oh, oh... I need those hub caps!
  20. Nice corners.
  21. Beautiful Chevelle, John. Really dig that colour. Nice work.
  22. Hadn't checked in on this one in a while. Things are looking great. I think you nailed the body colour. The bonnet detailing is fantastic. Loving the lead strap, got to get me some of that. Need some of that brass blackening agent as well. Very handy tip... cheers.
  23. That’s my method, too. That, combined with panel scribing and block sanding, IMHO, usually makes the nicest panel lines. This is one of those times when under-doing it is better than over-doing it. In many cases it seems applying a dark wash to panel lines on top of the final paint is a bit too much. Sometimes, with good panel scribing, no additional accent is needed at all.
  24. Very nice, Greg. That really looks the part.
  25. Very cool, both the project and the 1:1. I have a couple tracked projects myself in my project book, so I'll be watching this one.
