  1. Cool! Nice work blending the colours.
  2. Nice lines. The donor roof is a good fit.
  3. Cool. More Lotus! I'll be watching this one come together.
  4. Somehow those examples of wordless box art seem to say more than the full text box tops. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Cool. It will be interesting watching this one come together.
  6. Wow! That's a beautiful roadster.
  7. Not as pretty as the Hudson or Stude, but another 'off the beaten path' pick-up is the Powell. There is a lot of slab siding and few compound curves, so scratchbuilding one should be doable . … and just dig that cool built in fishing rod compartment (though someone has added compartment divisions to this example)..
  8. Very nice. The Pontiac makes a great ute.
  9. Yes, great news indeed. I'm definitely in for one of the RS200s. I am really impressed with the catalogue these guys are creating, especially in the vintage/slightly vintage rally car field. And the rate they are spitting out new tools is impressive as well.
  10. Cheers Snake, that's good to know. I'll keep searching.
  11. I guess I have two bucket list models; - the AMT 67 Mustang Mach 1 show car - and the (potentially mythical) AMT 65 Plymouth Valiant (or Dart) I've almost pulled the trigger on the Mustang a couple of times on ebay, but either the prices or the kit condition were not favourable. And despite reports otherwise, I'm still wondering if the Valiant is a unicorn. It's my grail kit.
  12. I won't buy models at Michael's. The prices are ridiculously high, and I refuse to support a business model that requires me to jump through hoops by using 50% off coupons just to get a kit at a reasonable price. Won't do it.
  13. I have been wanting to go to this shindig for decades. I am now looking in to the possibilities of going before it is done. I have never been to a large model show before, and there are plenty to choose from, but this now legendary event seems like a 'must do'. I'm sad to see it go, but I really appreciate the advance notice, to give time to plan.
  14. C'mon just lets go
  15. Very tasteful. I like it. A lot!
  16. Porters Lake, Nova Scotia.
  17. I got a Badger 200 IL for Christmas when I was 15 (1981). It's still my only real airbrush to this day. I really want to try gravity feed, though, and have been eyeing up a nice Iwata.
  18. I'm digging the style of this build. The colour is right on, and the steelies are perfect.
  19. Love me some early Jag. The D-Type looks great.
  20. AMT '67 Mustang fastback.
  21. Cool 'club racer' build. These 914s are really growing on me. You did a fine job on this one. Is the Revell kit the only available kit of this car in 1/25 or 1/24?
  22. Cheers Dan. The Pantera is very cool, BTW, and they all don't have to be showroom smooth, just poking a bit of fun.
  23. I agree 100%. This trend of not engraving emblems and badges on the body tooling is very worrisome. Anyone for whom realism is a goal, PE rarely looks right, and decals are a pathetic representation of badges or scripts. Good clean molded in scripts and badges with sharp relief can be made to represent 1:1 items very nicely, much better than any other method I've seen or tried yet, with the exception of some well done metal transfers, but those are expensive and will not likely be seen in kits such as marketed by Revell (and they are easy to screw up).
