  1. All of the Revell/Monogram NASCAR kits have this style (single plane) intake manifolds, but in 1/24 scale, the ASA Camaro kits are in 1/25 scale, and the kits that had the V-8 engines and not the V-6's actually had the Victor intake, but I have all my open ones boxed, so I can't verify the Edelbrock name on them.
  2. You wouldn't have the name, or part number for the rear Pegasus wheels would you? Thanks, Del
  3. I have a friend that was the original owner of an SS 396 Camaro convertible, that the tail panel came in the same metallic blue as the nose stripes, the car was white with the blue interior, and a white top.
  4. Bob, the Anglia is a 1:1 under construction rod, just an "inspirational" photo.
  5. Not saying it has any effect on if there are any new NASCAR kits or not, but don't use this years night Bristol race as a yardstick for attendance records, it had rained most of the day and rain had been forecast for the night all week. And the race ended up being a Sunday day race after all, with the cost of tickets and travel, motel, and food a lot of people who had tickets didn't make the trip and on XM SIRRIUS on Monday almost every caller regretted their decision as most felt that they missed a great race. Now let's talk about the road races, I'm not a real fan of the them, but both races were virtually sold out, and the most exciting races of the year (up to that point) were seen, if it's any sign the races in the chase are doing great, and I have would bet that the rest won't be dogs either , I'd go as far as saying if you don't have tickets for Homestead yet that you're going to need a bit more than face value as far as what they will cost you.
  6. I see some chrome centerline type wheels on a parts tree. Is that what you are talking about?
  7. Must be some special kind of flathead in that jalopy, four exhaust pipes and it's not an Ardun conversion.
  8. I know that you didn't intend for it to look like it, but that color under the lighting you used actually appears to be the same as K-2 urethane primer. Gives the "almost finished, but under construction" look to it, and then I like it, but I think I would have gone with a blackwall tire before the green. B But overall a clean well done model.
  9. Why can't you use the front tires from the Gasser tire and wheel set to keep it all AMT parts packs?
  10. Strangely enough, even with the age of the 1:1 car being replicated, it stills represents a GM vehicle, General Motors is one of the original manufacturer's that were damaged by copyright infringement and are extremely strict when it comes to anything that carries the name of one of their products, they won't sign off anything without giving clearance, and receiving their licensing fee.
  11. Actually the transverse muffler is the muffler, the two small ones are the resonators.
  12. Forgot all about the Ventura, and that's what Moebius is kitting isn't it?
  13. The bubble top hardtops were sold as sport coupes in Bonneville and Catalina trim versions. I can't say what you saw, but the DuPont registry has no history of a 2+2 being made by Pontiac until 1964,_you can pull up "2+2 history", and it will show you the VIN for every registered 2+2 left.
  14. So I'll remember on Friday what I voted today I'm voting model.
  15. I know a lot of people will jump on the GM dog pile and trash GM over these recalls, but they're at the mercy of subcontractors that submit an assembly for approval, and upon receiving this start supplying the parts to GM for assembly catching substandard pieces are found only on the receipt of a complaint, or when a random quality control check finds a problem. Then it is a process of finding out when the supplier started shipping out the substandard parts, and how many have actually been used in production. I applaud GM's decision to halt sales instead of proceeding with the sales of a car that is in high demand, then just notifying the owners of the problem.
  16. I'm probably wrong (usually am) but I thought I Read that a full detail glue kit of this kit is planned? Or is that what the black pre-painted kit is going to be? Just my usual assuming something that it was going to be an unpainted kit.
  17. With Revell's success with mid line offerings, it would be great to see a '64 Chevelle Malibu, non SS,bench seat, 4 speed car, still leaves room for all the other'64-'65 Chevelle models to follow with different body, interior options, they already have the chassis tooling in inventory, this could follow the same footsteps as the tri-fives that the original cars were referenced to when they were first released.
  18. If you are looking for a stock type firewall the one from the "Rat Roaster" kit is an easy to use fairly close to stock firewall.
  19. Wow, those headers were worth the $10! The factory actually made a 2x4 intake for the polysphere engines these monster's were real torque monsters. A friend (I use the term loosely) cobbled one of these into a'58:Ford pick-up my uncle had, it was a definite cowboy job, with the radiator welded to the core support, and a welded solid three speed floor shifter with one lever to shift the auto trans. But it sounded good, didn't look bad (with the hood closed) and was a terror on the road, it sported a set of cheater slicks and with the stock 4.30 gears would kill'em from one stop light to the other, but on the open highway the home made drive shaft (the Chrysler front was cut in the middle and so was the Ford, but as luck would have it one piece perfectly slid into the other and the guy welded the pieces together with a stick welder that resembled bird droppings from a bald eagle. But even though it could remove your fillings and the drone would frighten children in cars we passed, it never broke down. Oh, those young and dumb days, I don't think I'd push it out of the shop now, much less fly down I-5 at 70+ MPH.
  20. Will it include Ace,Hajii,Bandit, and Jonny figures too? ;-)
  21. Does anyone know if any decals of the Burkholder Brothers AA/FA from the late '70s is available?
  22. I've been going to post about your build since you put it on but my tablet won't let me post on this forum for some reason, I think the dust makes it look a fresh barn find that just rolled out into the sunlight after having the hay & canvas pulled off.
  23. Eevidently the "flawless kits" come from Modelhaus.. ;-)
  24. I tried to get back to you yesterday but my tablet wouldn't let me post anything but emoticons. The reason I was using my phone was I was out of town on business. I apologize for ass-u-me,ing that it was an attack on my person, I really should have known better. Just to make it easier on us dummies when you mean something to be satirical, or a joke add an appropriate emoticon,or a simple lol then there's no question it's meant in jest. Don't feel bad I was piled on like a slow NFL running back for the same thing on the dirt oval forums, that's why I should have known better. Like I said it has never happened on this forum before, & actually hasn't yet. Hope all is well now. Peace out
