After my Mom passed in 2016 (I was still living in Arizona, 2000 miles away), my schizophrenic older brother lived in her house for 6 years, wouldn't let my sister or I access the house (we went to court and through probate, she had no will, we divided her estate 3 ways), and it wasn't until after he passed with no will in 2022 (when he was living in the house w/ no working heat, water, or sewer) and cleaned out the mess he'd made that we realized anything of hers that had been valuable (jewelry, etc) he had hocked or destroyed. We did find some of her and our Dad's mementos that hadn't been destroyed, salvaged what we could. Was a sad mess and he ruined a lot of good memories of the family home, but glad it's behind me.

No talk about the Round2 1971 Dodge Demon ?
Rob Hall replied to gtx6970's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Model Roundup has more detail in the footnotes also: 12-27-23 Update: We understand the kits may have landed at Round2's West Coast Receiving and Distribution hub in Seattle. The kits have to clear customs and then ship to Distributors. The Distributors then ship to us and we ship to you. We estimate we should have these to ship in mid-late January. -

Nah, not out just yet...I've seen one build but that was from a YouTube personality that got an advance copy. Model Roundup has them for preorder..I have 3 preordered from them. -
Yeah, nothing special..there was an Ollies about a mile and 1/2 from me at my previous house, went a few times the 6 years I lived there..they never had anything special, just older kits that I already had.

Cale was #28 then #29 when I watched him. He was #21 and #11 earlier I believe…

Yes, Andrey's stuff is really neat... I have several prints of his files from a variety of printers..interesting, off beat subjects like a '77 Impala 2dr and 4dr, '77 Caprice 4dr and wagon, '81 Malibu 4dr, '73 Olds Cutlass Salon 4dr, '68 and '73 Grand Prix, '67/68 Plymouth Valiants, etc... subjects that the major styrene kit makers will never touch. -
Cale has passed at age 84. He was the first NASCAR cup driver I was a fan of as a kid in the early 80s. Always liked watching him in the Hardees cars..

Sad...I was a fan of his from his Indy car days.

I've been on a Christmas movie kick this week, watched Die Hard and Die Hard 2, Office Christmas Party, A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas. Going to watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation this weekend, probably my favorite--seen it at least 20 times.

When I lived in Denver, a coworker held an annual Festivus party... it was a lot of fun, got a bit rowdy..

Yep, just reruns of oldies.. -
Had a few inches of snow Monday night, but supposed to be in the 50s for XMas here outside Cleveland. Better than the subzero cold we had last year at this time….

I’ve had that happen…I have two backup Keurigs, an espresso machine, cappuccino machine, and a bean grinder. If all else fails, got McDonalds and a Dunkin nearby…

I hardly ever watch anything with commercials, other than the occasional NFL game or once in while the local news...the ads during the 5pm local news last night were awful, all seemed to be trying to scare retirees to buying additional insurance and such..

No, that’s an AMT snap kit of a similar subject.

Recent pic of Lulu and Jack in my office. They and their sister Lola will be 10 months old the day after Christmas.

I figure they will appear when they appear..whether it is December or Q1 of 2024...I preordered one of each, so I'll be pleasantly surprised when they appear at my door... -
I remember having a Sony Walkman in the 80s that had a 'Turbo Bass Boost' button. I think I've seen 'turbo' applied to multi blade shavers. I've even applied it to one of my dogs --Beardsley--a chi-terrier mix that somehow got the nickname Turbo Squid, which I later discovered is a 3D modeling website.
