Went out and ran the snowblower for about 15 min...cleared about 1/2 the width of the driveway all the way down to the street, and the sidewalk along the tree lawn in both directions...still snowing, though...will have to do it again in the morning..

It's been snowing all day here outside Cleveland, after raining everyday and freezing rain changing to snow last night... it's been getting heavier the last hour...not going to shovel the driveway until it's over...cleared a path earlier to roll out the trash and recycling bins and for the mailman to get in. Done w/ deliveries for the day...had about 6 inches on the ground from the last two weeks snow, expected to get up to a foot or more today...I had the driveway cleared yesterday, but filled in again.. My Jeep is sitting in the garage, no point in going out..

Crazy weather... 2 weeks of snow cover and cold, had cabin fever...was sunny and 46 on Tuesday, had a lot of melting, sat out in my driveway for a while and soaked in the rays. Got my Jeep out, took a drive over to the national park and walked a bit in the late afternoon. Rained and in the 40s yesterday, and with the melting got the driveway about 75% cleared off. Then the rain changed to freezing rain/sleet and snow overnight and has been snowing all day so far...

The ‘62 was a perimeter frame also, some design differences from the ‘65 and the wheelbase differences. AMT ‘65 on left, AMT ‘62 on right.

Going to B-J in January is one of the things I miss about living in Az. I went most every year for about 15 years. One year went for two days. Lots of fun. Friends of mine are usually set up in the vendor tent with their art. I liked going to some of other January auctions also, R-M and Gooding & Company were always good.

There is a white w/ patches of color ('piebald') deer that has been seen over the last few years and photographed within a mile of my subdivision, I haven't see it though. I see deer in my yard and the yard behind me pretty frequently.. a few weeks ago one night my cameras picked up a dozen of them milling around my front yard...

‘78 Dodge D100
Rob Hall replied to Smoke Wagon's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Nice build...some realistic weathering...I've seen old trucks with the mashed top edge of the tailgate like that, looks like metal! -
Apparently, the custom version of the '56 Chrysler was reissued 26 years ago. I don't remember it, but I wasn't really very active in the hobby in the mid 90s (busy busy busy in grad school).

Kind of like the old Revell tri-5 Chevy kits. I never really liked Revell models until the 80s era tooling..

I remember him as Bob in Fight Club.

Good question...I don't think either the step side shortbed or 454 SS have been reissued in the last 30 years... can't believe it's been over 30 years..I remember building the '88-91 kits.

What did you see on the road today?
Rob Hall replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The Maverick is neat. I've never wanted or needed a truck, but I can see how it would be a very useful tool... -
IIRC, this kit has an engine. The Revell Escalade of the same generation was a curbside.
-
A 1/25th '70s vintage forklift would be really neat to have to go w/ the various AMT trailers.
-
I have no information, but if Revell has a Coke license, I could certainly seeing them following Round 2's model and issuing big rig cabs w/ Coke decals, pickups, the Space Shuttle, etc.. or maybe they get a Pepsi license, and do similar things w/ Pepsi..I could see that happening..

1/24 Revell '79 ('81?) Chevrolet Camaro Z/28
Rob Hall replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I'm sure in time *what* this kit actually is will be known. On another forum, someone said that gray image looked like it had a Firebird interior. -

You would think they would correct the year after 5 months. -
The style of Pulsar that the Hasegawa kit depicts (N14) wasn't sold in the US, but is apparently related to the early 90s Sentra sold here (N13 generation) and the long forgotten NX2000 of the early 90s. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_NX

1/24 Revell '79 ('81?) Chevrolet Camaro Z/28
Rob Hall replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Well, it's not the Revell tool, which was 1/25th and had weird bulged fenders (the body was shared w/ a Trans Am kit also), minimal engine detail, and squishy tires. Kinda curious what this kit is going to be... -
That came out a while back... Model Roundup has it in stock. Too early for '23. https://www.modelroundup.com/1951-Henry-J-Gasser-p/rmx-4514.htm
