  1. Last shipment of goodies from Japan came.
  2. Yes, the Rolling Thunder kit is what I was thinking of.
  3. The majority of time I have no issues w/ my local USPS. Except when once in a while they deliver packages to the wrong house..there is a house 2 streets over from me with the same house number and a very similar street name. And there is a house down my street with an almost identical house number except for one digit. I get their mail and vice versa once in a while. Or the previous owners of my house, I've been here almost 5 years but still get their mail on occasion... Amazon, UPS, and FedEx have foul ups on occasion also.
  4. I bet Round 2 will do a Rat Fink '59 Cadillac ambulance eventually, since they have the license and have already done one in diecast (a Johnny Lightning Rat Fink '59 Cadillac ambulance was made in 1/64th).
  5. The mail joyride I've noticed on more than one occasion is packages from a certain model car vendor in the Atlanta area seem to often route through Rancho Cucamonga, Ca on the way to the Cleveland, Ohio area...
  6. I have all of the MPC 1/25th Chevys and GMCs of that era in my stash except for the Super Dually (wish they had made a stock dually) and also have several of the reissues...I seem to remember there was a custom pickup w/ a big rig look, or was that the earlier style cab..
  7. Nice, looks like they removed the holes and tabs that were on the Ghostbusters version and added new holes in the roof.
  8. The one I have has separate fins and moon caps (one piece wheels), and says AMT on the box. I have the original AMT issue in storage, so can't compare them...never had the PL one.
  9. Mail delivery was unusually late yesterday---got only the packages delivered about 8:30pm, paper mail didn't get delivered. Must have had a rough Monday. Amazon delivery was even later.
  10. Maybe, the holes are towards the middle of the roof, though...and there are many other holes and tabs on the roof...the surf rack might use the same tabs that the ECTO-1A gear rack did. There are holes and a mounting plate on the left rear quarter that would need smoothed and filled in also.
  11. I wonder if they have cleaned up the body and filled in the various holes for mounting the Ghostbusters gear. iIRC, they were cast open…
  12. I'm sure it will be the same old, same old MPC tool w/ the new front end parts and wheels from the recent James Bond release....from the box art, it looks like it will finally get full '71 Mach 1 style decals. I don't think the AMT or MPC '71-73 kits ever had a flat hood option.
  13. That reminds of how Heller does interior door panels on some kits---clear pieces w/ the window molded as part of the inner door panel.
  14. Interesting...from the box art, it looks like the police one is a window van while the other is a panel van. So they have inserts for the window openings?
  15. The chassis is quite primitive as is the engine, but they do have the newly tooled bodies. Should make a good shelf model. Much seems the same between both kits, differing in the body and trim (different year) and the decals...
  16. Beautiful build. Love the color, I have a vintage Matchbox E-Type in a similar color.
  17. Patriot Blue Pearl—that is the color my ‘00 Grand Cherokee was. Always liked that color.
  18. It's not on their YouTube channel. Nothing posted in a month. May be late...
  19. Got my MPC 'USA-1' '74 Vega Pro Stock kit reissue today...haven't had a chance yet to compare it with the earlier Grumpy's Vega '72 release.
  20. Yes. https://fireballmodels.info Wheels are $6 for a set of 4.
  21. Yes. It’s hard to see the difference, but the tire on the bottom is weighted and the left side is slightly flattened.
  22. My sister’s first car was a ‘76 Pinto Runabout. Got it new for HS graduation, she drove it 4 years through college and added an FM converter and 8 track. She got married and drove it to Arizona towing a U haul trailer in 1980. It got hit twice in parking lots on the way there, got to AZ w/ the grille knocked out, hood mashed in, passenger's door bashed in. Traded it for a brown '78 Datsun 280Z.
  23. The weighted ones look like they are on a vehicle and are slightly flattened where the tread would touch the ground, to give the impression of the tire being compressed by the weight of a vehicle. I have sets of both (FMR-170-regular and FMR-171-weighted) and it is a subtle difference.
  24. I watched 'Fatman' the other evening, very unusual Christmas tale w/ Mel Gibson. I liked both 'Bad Santa' movies, watched them last year. I may watch 'Die Hard' again, one of my all time favorite Christmas season films. I've seen 'National Lampoons Christmas Vacation' probably 20 times, may rewatch... I need to watch 'A Christmas Story' again, been about a decade. I did visit the house used in it a couple years ago, it's about 6 miles north of me.
