  1. Watched that Saturday night. Was good.
  2. weirdly abstract..like a V8 engine and transmission designed by someone that had never seen a V8 engine or transmission...
  3. I’m looking forward to the VW T2 bus and camper, and the new tool 70s Porsche 911s.
  4. I miss my backyard wall and pool. Was a very tranquil place. Close to everything. But the long, hot summers wore me out.
  5. Yes, I checked my roadster kit, and it has both RHD and LHD parts. I’ve had that kit for over a month, and hadn’t looked closely at the trees or instructions.
  6. Camelback Toyota at 16th St and Camelback? My old neighborhood is just northwest of there and my Cadillac dealer was down the street. Lots of good restaurants around that area.
  7. Odd that they didn't provide RHD parts, assuming they are selling the kit in the UK also...
  8. Yes...I guess the box art is supposed to look like an English country estate in the background, but the car is LHD...so maybe a French estate..
  9. I didn't have my birth certificate handy when I renewed my license last year, used my passport instead.
  10. Maybe by digging through parts boxes of AMT custom parts I could find more appealing front and rear treatments…
  11. Always thought it was odd the '65 Coronet was never released in an MPC box...just the one AMT release, I believe.
  12. Yes, they are...AMT reboxed a number of Johan kits then, and some MPC kits also (I have an AMT boxed '67 Barracuda).
  13. Yeah, would be. I've never had an MPC Toro, but have the Johan (with a couple of them in AMT boxes) ones...wonder how the MPC tooling differed from Johan.
  14. Probably existing tooling....AFAIK, the Californian was the last issue of the MPC Toronado....has never been reissued, was only out once 52 years ago apparently. Looks like MPC made stock Toronados in '67 and '68, then the Mannix roadster, then the Californian. Presumably, the stock tooling was scrapped along the way. The Californian is a pretty dreadful looking custom IMO, no wonder it was never reissued in the past...
  15. This is the Californian--custom body and trim. I've never had an MPC Toronado.
  16. Sharp... hopefully they will also do a later Series 2 or Series 3 with the wider taillights.
  17. The ‘65 Bonneville is being reissued later this year in retro box art.
  18. ^ some nice finds there. I gave a ‘61 T-Bird hardtop that I bought built up years ago in I think that same red, with some fisheyes. Eventually stripped it and painted a Model Master dark red IIRC.
  19. Sharp build...great photos, love the big evergreens in the background in some photos.
  20. Maybe their US distributors have more inventory available now.
  21. Looking forward to the USA-1 Vega and'64 Olds 442 ht this fall...
  22. That's a pic of Laurence Olivier in 'Marathon Man'... Speaking of eye doctors, I've been to my optometrist and an ophthalmologist too often this summer... so many drops and tests, tiring...
  23. I only let my dogs out in my large fenced backyard. And I do pick up after them, so they don't recycle their product. I don't walk them on the sidewalks because there are too many big dogs in the neighborhood and I don't trust other people to control their dogs.
  24. Sad to hear..never seen them, but liked them since discovering them in the 80s. I like Billy Gibbons recent solo album...
  25. I didn't realize it was out either...found it on Diecast Models Wholesale website.
