That's in my queue, want to watch it eventually. Another show I recently watched on Netflix or Hulu that I enjoyed was a neat German/Swiss caper called 'Allmen'... lead character was a jewel thief/bon vivant conman turned detective. Great scenery, and the lead actor looked like he was channeling early 80s Bryan Ferry w/ the suits and hair. Another crime drama I recent watched and liked is "The Mountain Detective" on Prime..great scenery in the French alps.

I do enjoy police/mobster movies and shows, just wrapped up Maltese on Prime/PBS..a recent Italian tv miniseries filmed in Sicily and set in Sicily in the 1970s. Lots of neat ‘70s Alfas and Fiats, great cinematography and music. Just started another one, The Hunter (Il Cacciatore), also Italian and filmed in Sicily, on Prime/PBS, but set in the 90s.

Yes, my post should have read 'mostly only Buy it Now recently.' Yes, I did a ton of regular auction bidding the first 10-12 years I was on the service. The last decade, I've bought fewer old kits (I have most everything I want) and mostly new and resin items as Buy it Now purchases. I remember having to pay with postal money orders from buyers that didn't take PayPal, but that's been at least 10 years or more since I've done that...I vaguely remember BillPoint..don't remember the Dutch auctions.

I've been on eBay since '97, in recently years, though mostly only buying Buy it Now items (resin and diecast, mostly)....once in a while I bid on things, and usually do the last second sniper approach...if the auction ends at a convenient time. Usually successful. That's how I bought a lot of old kits back in the 00s...

Make sense, the Ramp Truck is going to be an F250 or F350. And there is also the ‘68 F250 pickup coming….

Probably parts for a future 4x4 pickup version with optional ‘off road’ accessories. Not on the same tree as the ramp bed parts, so probably in that photo as a bit of foreshadowing of future product.

The older builders are a guaranteed sale for the time being. Eventually people are going to age out, and will younger modelers be interested in the same old, same old?

You'd have to check with modelers on a sci-fi, armor, etc modeling forum. Since this is a car modeling forum, what goes on in other genres isn't exactly a major topic here.

Round 2 in particular, isn't targeting the next generation or younger adults...it's market is pretty clearly the Baby Boomers and to a lesser degree Gen X (my generation, grew up building in the 80s). Revell seems to be more generalist, but also skews older w/ a lot of subject matter. Atlantis seems to be squarely aiming at Baby Boomers.

The Maverick seems like it would be fine for a small light duty truck. Something like that would be fine for the occasional load of shrubs or bags of mulch from Home Depot. Though my Jeep does that just fine. The Mach-E looks like it would make a nice leased commuter daily driver. Whenever I venture into EVs I may look at one (though the upcoming hybrid Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE looks appealing to me also).

Hmm...the Mach-E is on it's own EV platform, nothing to do with the Escape. Maybe you are thinking of the Bronco Sport which is on the Escape platform. The new Ford compact truck is the Maverick, on the Escape platform. (The Ford midsize truck is the Ranger).

My local Mopar dealer keeps bugging me to trade in my Jeep. It's a 2014 w/ 51k miles, low for the age. I checked Carvana and Vroom, they gave me estimated prices of around $20k, which is surprising given the age. A new one in the showroom (virtually identical spec to mine) is stickered at $49k. The Grand Cherokee hasn't changed much since 2014 (a slight facelift in '17), so mine doesn't really look old yet. The all new one (WL) is in progress now (3 row for '21, 2 row for '22). Maybe in a few years I'll trade on another CPO.

A Taycan would be nice to see...along w/ an Audi E-Tron GT. I'd love to see Revell make some current Porsches, like the Boxster GTS 4.0 or a 911 GT3. And for modern American cars, why not a Tesla Model S, Mustang Mach-E, Mustang Mach 1, or Mustang Shelby GT350 or GT500? Wish they had followed up the old Challenger SRT kit w/ a modern Hellcat, Demon, Red Eye, etc... Atlantis' niche is similar to Round 2's---reissuing and sprucing up vintage kits, but narrower in scope.

I'd assume kits of modern supercars and hypercars would appeal to a broad range of modelers, skewing younger. Certainly not going to attract younger adult builders or kids with old timer subjects like Model A hot rods and Tom Daniel show rods.

Would be fun to try and build one of these in 1/25th though, using the AMT 6th gen as a starting point, and a resin 572.

It's not street legal, it's built for drag racing (it has a 3spd automatic!). The ultimate street legal Camaro currently is the ZL1 1LE (supercharged, 650hp, and a 6spd manual).

Yes, I checked my roadster kit, and it has both RHD and LHD parts. I’ve had that kit for over a month, and hadn’t looked closely at the trees or instructions.
