Just finished this one up tonight. It is the MPC Snake Bite Mustang Cobra. I bought it as an unpainted but decaled built up and I stripped it down. Paint is Testors Viper GTS Blue with Testors silver of some sort. The pinstripe along the hood bulge and along the body molding is Lavender. I wasn't confident of my choice of striping at first but I really liked it once I got it on the body. The window glass was pretty scuffed so I decided to just spray it flat black on the inside. The windshield decal was left over from the OB. Engine detail is just the basic engine. No wiring or plumbing. This was a fun build that went together very easily and was quite enjoyable. Hope you like it.

Beautiful build of a nice car! Too bad there weren't more of these models around. I'd love to have one to build. Later-

Looking excellent, especially in Maroon. I did one a few years back as it is also my birth year. It was a great kit and I enjoyed the build. I did mine in Inca Gold. Keep going! Later-

Yes they are. The seller has quite a selection and they are $15.99 w/ free shipping! They were a total of $17.29. Trying to resist ordering some of their others. Later-

Years ago I bought the JF resin 06 Pontiac Firebird kit (converts the 06 Camaro to a Firebird). I never built it because I was looking for a set of larger diameter Firebird wheels for it. Well, today I bought these 20 inch Snowflakes off of a seller on Ebay. 20 inch should fit just fine. I may swap the tires for the ones in the Camaro. Not sure what I think of these resin tires yet. I commented early on this build but haven't read through the entire post. I picked this started project up this week so I will have to go back and read it all for some tips. Later-

For your hood fit dilema, have you thought about using scotch tape for a hinge? For as seldom that you would open and close it, that may work just fine. The reason I mention this is that I recently got an old built up car that the person had done this to and it looks like the tape has held up for a good thirty plus years. Later- -

Great idea Pat! I think it would be good to do a replica of the boat from your first picture. That has an interesting style to it. Later- -
Pro Street Blazer

Nice looking build. Gives me ideas for the Blazer and the Ford pickup rebuilders I have. I'll have to see how the Pro Street Tbird chassis and suspension work under them. Later- -

Very nice job on this one Jim. That paint looks to be a perfect match for Testors One Shot Root Beer. Later- -
