  1. Looking excellent, especially in Maroon. I did one a few years back as it is also my birth year. It was a great kit and I enjoyed the build. I did mine in Inca Gold. Keep going! Later-
  2. Got some reshaping of the roof done on this Ecto 1/Hearse project that I bought as a started project. It had a hump in the roof beginning about 1/4 inch rearward of the rear side door. Had to do quite a bit of filing and putting to get a nicer rounded shape. Before and after pics. Later-
  3. Yes they are. The seller has quite a selection and they are $15.99 w/ free shipping! They were a total of $17.29. Trying to resist ordering some of their others. Later-
  4. Years ago I bought the JF resin 06 Pontiac Firebird kit (converts the 06 Camaro to a Firebird). I never built it because I was looking for a set of larger diameter Firebird wheels for it. Well, today I bought these 20 inch Snowflakes off of a seller on Ebay. 20 inch should fit just fine. I may swap the tires for the ones in the Camaro. Not sure what I think of these resin tires yet. 5. Nice work making what you want out of what's available. Turned out to be a great looking replica! Later-
  6. I like it Stephen! Nice work. Later-
  7. I commented early on this build but haven't read through the entire post. I picked this started project up this week so I will have to go back and read it all for some tips. Later-
  8. Got this started Ecto 1/ Hearse project and a bit of 59 Caddy parts for a good price today.
  9. Thanks Rick! Later-
  10. Thanks Fellas! Nice to see you guys are still enjoying this one. Later-
  11. Thank you all for your kind comments on my build. I'm eager to start another one. Later-
  12. I'm liking this build and your process along the way. Glad I tuned in. Later-
  13. For your hood fit dilema, have you thought about using scotch tape for a hinge? For as seldom that you would open and close it, that may work just fine. The reason I mention this is that I recently got an old built up car that the person had done this to and it looks like the tape has held up for a good thirty plus years. Later-
  14. .....Backs slowly out of the room, not making eye contact. Later-
  15. Great idea Pat! I think it would be good to do a replica of the boat from your first picture. That has an interesting style to it. Later-
  16. Nice looking build. Gives me ideas for the Blazer and the Ford pickup rebuilders I have. I'll have to see how the Pro Street Tbird chassis and suspension work under them. Later-
  17. Very nice job on this one Jim. That paint looks to be a perfect match for Testors One Shot Root Beer. Later-
  18. That is a beautiful build Chuck! The sheen of that black is PERFECT! All business! Great work. Later-
  19. So, this morning I was curios about how much change I had really made in the body with my modifications. I dug out another body (the previous owner had filled in the wood) to take comparison shots. There is a marked difference so far. Later-
  20. Thanks Sam. For a build that I had no plan to do, I think it's coming along. Just started throwing it together on a whim to see what it would look like. Mary said last night that she liked the purple so I may have to figure out what paint that is and go with that color. Later-
  21. Thanks for all of your kind words Fellas. I made a bit of progress tonight. Got the firewall sectioned and installed and filled some small areas to clean things up a bit. While throwing a bit of putty I added a small strip of styrene along the edges of the hood starting from the grill and extending to the cowlso that the hood would meet the top of the body chrome. At the same time the styrene strip was used as a ledge for super glue and putty so that when sanded out would widen the hood a bit. The body chrome will eventually extend from the cowl to the grill with a piece provided in the Vantastic kit. Next session should consist of shaping the hood and making hood sides. Thanks for looking in. Later-
  22. Thanks for the info. I'll have to either keep an eye out for a set on ebay or just make my own. As always, if anyone has a set or the Modelhaus Litton 49 Ford for trade, hit me up, please. Later-
  23. Does anybody know of a kit source or aftermarket supplier for this tail light? If not, I suppose that I can scratchbuild a set. I want to put a set on a build I have in mind. Thanks for any info. Later-
  24. Dan, I just read through this post. What a cool looking little build. I have done similar body work filling the wheel wells and the roof hole on one of these Bantam bodies to build a modern version of this. However, after looking at your build I'm definitely going to have to do one 60's style. Too Cool!! Thanks for the inspiration! Later-
