  1. I love this build. What a clean looking truck. Nice work! Later-
  2. Yeah Scott, after seeing your beautiful build I needed one for my shelf. Might have to pick up another one or two before everyone finds out about them for someday in the future. Later-
  3. Thanks guys! Thanks Misha. I don't know why, exactly, but when I got this, the paint scheme instantly came to mind. I think it says 60's very well. Later-
  4. I got this as a built-up off of eBay back in July. I liked the way it sat and the wheels so wanted to keep those two things for the rebuild. I used the convertible boot from the 50 Ford convertible kit and cut decals from an Amtrack railcar sheet that I bought back in 1990! Painted Tamiya Gloss white. Added redline tires to tie in the interior. The windshield was in bad shape so I dipped it in Future. It's as good as it's gonna get. I added Wizard of O's bezels for the gauges and the turn signals and back up lights. Hope you like it. Later-
  5. Finished! I liked the stance from the original build so I wanted to keep that. Moving to Under Glass and on to the next build- a 71 GTX. Later-
  6. Thanks guys for the nice comments. Been getting a lot of bench time in lately and able to get through quote a few kits. Should be finishing my 63 Tempest today and starting on a 71 GTX. Later-
  7. And it's in white. Mine is in blue. Later-
  8. Got some Molotow sprayed on the Tempest bumpers and got some minimal detailing done to the old, molded in engine bay. Should be able to button this up tomorrow. Later-
  9. Beautiful build and color. The weathering is just perfect for the look of a well taken care of classic. Love it! Later-
  10. Thanks. Yes, you should. Nice, easy build. Later-
  11. Thanks a lot guys! I appreciate it. Later-
  12. I have one of those somewhere in my shop. A buddy sent it to me years ago. I may need to put it on my car someday. Later-
  13. Nice kit Lee. I need to pick me up another. Later-
  14. Started this on September 14th and just finished it this morning. Tires are Scenes Unlimited T22's. Paint is Testors Bright Platinum with Tamiya Mica Red over the top and Testors Wet Look Clear. The rest is out of box. Nice kit for an inexpensive Snap Tite. Later-
  15. Nice looking build of a great kit. Good job! I do a pro street version of this kit. Went together very easily. Later-
  16. So, a radiator and wall from a standard Mustang should work? Later-
  17. Hakan- thanks for the input. I will remove the traction bars but doubt that I'll go to the effort to change the rear end. Al- I noticed the radiator wall and old screw mounts last night. I am thinking of cutting it out and replace with the radiator and wall from the T-bolt or ? for more detail. I need to be careful though because there isn't much room between the existing parts and the engine fan. Later-
  18. Thanks guys! Jerry, This is an old AMT kit. Later-
  19. Beautiful build and what an accomplishment having it featured! Nice work! Later-
  20. Looks great! Nice weathering of the tires and wheels. Later-
  21. Thanks. I did not brush paint anything except the small grille at the bottom of the front bumper and the tailgate handle. Everything else is masked and sprayed. Later-
  22. I agree! And what a well kept example. Later-
  23. Working on my 63 Mercury Meteor. Installing a 64 T-bolt chassis and suspension and a Hi-po 289. Later-
  24. Since I should be finishing my Raptor on Monday and, hopefully, my 63 Tempest later in the week I figured I'd start a thread on this. The first pic is my idea of what I'd like it to look like. I do most of my building during breaks and lunch at work and this one has been my project to pick away on at home. I got the body cleaned up relatively well. I still would like to fix some of the trim on the driver's side but doubt that I wouldn't mess it up more in the process. I'll probably leave it alone. I narrowed the chassis pan from the T-bolt kit and sanded a bit of the pan thickness to get it to sit up in the body correctly. I am using a donated Hi-po 289 out of the Mustang GT350 kit. Everything looks like it should play nice with the old kit. Stay tuned for more progress soon. Later-
