  1. Looks like a nice little custom. Great work on it. Later-
  2. This has really stood the test of time. It looks beautiful even today. I really like this kit as a simple build that yields fantastic looking results. I have built one of these and have a couple more in the stash. They are cheap to pick up and, again, look good when finished. Later-
  3. Thanks guys! It was a relatively fast build for me, and in some ways, it shows. Lol! Later-
  4. Just finished up this build. Not the greatest to look at, but it's on the shelf. Started with the original "Psyclone" issue that had a lightly painted body. Stripped the paint and started fresh. The only changes from the kit were different tires, some light engine wiring and plumbing, pin heads for hood latches, and colored sheet plastic for windows. The car name was altered from some decals I had that said "Flashback". Hope you enjoy it. Later-
  5. Just finished this one. Not the best, but it works. Moving to Under Glass. Later-
  6. Sam, You're doing an excellent job on this build. I like the color choices. I'll take a look for that paint today. Hopefully I have enough left or can find a can around here to buy. Later-
  7. Tim, These are all amazing builds. I really like the Firebird combo most though. Years ago I cut the top off of a 39 Ford Sedan to see what I could make of it. Fast forward to a couple of years ago and I dug it out and started the paintwork with the thought of building a tow rig and boat combo. Like most of my projects, I need to get back on it. Thanks for the eye candy. Later-
  8. So, I added the trunk stripes and think that it was the right choice. Later-
  9. Thanks Sam! Thanks! It does to mine too. Later-
  10. Got some wiring and plumbing started on my Cyclone motor and this morning I got the stripes placed on the trunk of the 63 Tempest. Wasn't sure that I was going to do the rear stripes but, now that it's done, I'm glad I did. Later-
  11. Fantastic looking build. I think the blacked out rear end looks good. This was a great idea you had and very well executed! Later-
  12. It is a decal from an Amtrack railcar decal sheet I've had for years. I took the wider stripe on the sheet and cut it lengthwise at 1/4 inch wide for the wide stripe. That left the balance as the width for the narrow stripe. Thanks for the positive comments guys. Later-
  13. Been doing a bit of basic wiring and plumbing for the engine. It's down to the tedious stuff. Later-
  14. I'll give it a try and see. I am still on the fence about the trunk decal. Later-
  15. Beautifully smooth and shiny paint! Great work on the interior too. Later-
  16. Thanks! I got a second kit of this because I liked the look of it so much. The body in the second kit is in perfect shape. I got the decals put in place today. Did it in two stripes, the narrow one first and then the wider one. Got a coat of clear over it. I'll give it a few days then wetsand. I was debating whether to put a stripe on the trunk but I think I'll pass. Hate to screw up a good thing. I'll start the interior while waiting. Later-
  17. Thanks. I've seen these before but this is the first one I've gotten. It will be a nice display piece as it is. Later-
  18. I had a coworker go to an auction and picked this up for me. It's cool! And it looks to be complete and untouched from 1949! Anybody know much about these or collect them? Later-
  19. Got my eBay purchase of a 63 Tempest in today. Just as advertised! The stock taillights and trim panel and the convertible boot that I was missing from my other one were included. A little rust covered from the axles and screws but I'm sure it will clean up fine. I like the wheels. The plus is that the body is pristine, except for a little dirt. Later-
  20. Beautiful build Alan! I love what you've done to resurrect this. And converting it to RHD! Perfect color combo. I have this interior bucket and the nose in my stash and wouldn't mind trying something similar to this. Just out of curiosity, what is special about the firewall? Looks like flat sheet stock would work to me. BTW- I've met Steve (Muncie) in person. What a great guy! Hope you get a chance someday soon to meet him for yourself. Later-
  21. Got a JF resin Black Force Sedan delivery body cleaned up and some suspension and engine parts assembled on my 240Z kit this weekend. Nothing picture worthy but a small bit of bench time in. Later-
  22. Made a run to HL yesterday for their 40% off sale. Picked up a 61 Impala and 6 bottles of craft acrylic paint. Going to get back to trying to master spraying acrylic paint. Later-
  23. I really like this style of cars and have a few in the plans for future builds. Great looking models Tim! Later-
  24. That looks fantastic. I don't know anything about this car or style of racing so the color looks great to me. Later-
  25. Amazing build! The paint work is flawless. The stance and the whitewall tires set it off perfectly. Later-
