Which was already 5 years old at the time of release. I'm not complaining, it's a nice kit and I bought 2. It would be nice to see a within-the-past-year pickup kit from Revell, that's not a snap kit.

Never again would I build this kit. Poor fitment and flash for days.

I think use the Fujimi wheels, paint them satin black, and hit some of the bolt heads with silver. They will be close enough for what you're trying to accomplish.

Yeah, they are pretty out of date now. The newest that isn’t the Meng would be AMTs F150, which could represent up to 2004. The Chevy and Dodge kits would represent up to a 2002. I think each has been through at least 2 generations, possibly 3.

Feels like Hell would freeze over before we get a full detail modern pickup kit. I would love to see a new F150 with the 3.5 Ecoboost, and they could easily get returns on their tooling. Sure the Meng kit is out (I have 2), but it’s pricy for a lot of people. I’m sure I’ll complain about this every time this sort of topic comes up, but I know that it is tougher nowadays to release a bunch of new subjects.

Okay, so it appears that there are 3 different BFGoodrich tires used. The 2013 10th Anniversary model used the Mud-Terrain T/A KM2s in the 265/70R17 size. The current lineup uses either Mud-Terrain T/A KMs (no 2) in 255/75R17 size or All-Terrain T/A KO2s in 265/70R17 size.

Nope, Rob's correct, 265/70R17. All the articles I've seen list that size, and here's a pic I found that supports it as well.

Looks amazing! Did you also build the 1/8 IROC a while back in the dark red metallic? I noticed that you changed the transmission itself to represent the automatic, but neglected to change the shifter and pedals as well?

It's too bad Tamiya didn't release one alongside their Grand Cherokee and Wrangler kits!

I hope they made a manual trans model, though regardless it will at least have the better looking interior compared to what the JK started with in 2007!

I will admit that it would be nice to someday have the current GC in kit form. According to the Meng site, this kit will have a working suspension unlike their previous two kits. http://www.meng-model.com/new.php?id=741 I'm very interested to see what subjects they continue to come up with, since they are doing kits so far that no one else has done (yes there were snap Hummer kits, but no full-detail). So far, they've done one from Ford, one from GM, and now one from FCA. Wonder which manufacturer will be next?

I would rather see a current Wrangler over a Grand Cherokee since the Wrangler has plenty more options for customization and trim levels that could be replicated.

Yeah I agree on posting pics, no mention of 8x6.25" anywhere. I doubt the military would have used an oddball bolt pattern, so my guess is some sort of custom application that someone else got ahold of and had adapters made for it.

The Firebird GTA tires will be wrong since they are for 16" wheels. Your best bet would be to find a set of tires from any of the 1/16 2nd Gen Firebirds since they will be for 15" wheels and should be close to what they would have used for the DOH car.

I can't tell from the picture, but what sort of paper is it? Is it just like your standard printer paper, or could it be decal paper that hasn't had the coating applied to it to make the decals?

Got a picture of what you received? I'm looking at the listing and it looks legit. Does it look exactly like the listing and look like it wasn't tampered with in any way? Could be an error on Round 2's part.

This is one of my favorites. The poll options are great for their time period, but the fact that they are played constantly at seemingly every car show makes me sick of them.

Seeing all the other Bronco builds here made me want to pull mine out and get started on it! I plan on making mine a 1975 in the style of a 90's full restoration. I will give it a small body lift, aftermarket wheels and tires, custom bumpers, and the engine and transmission from the AMT 90's F150 kit. Body has been cut for a set of Joseph's wheel flares. SAM_0271 by mudder_trucker8 Chassis assembled and painted gloss black to contrast against the body (floorpan will be painted body color) SAM_0270 by mudder_trucker8 Engine and transmission painted with intake manifold attached SAM_0273 by mudder_trucker8 Wheels and tires. Wheels are from the Fujimi Suzuki Jimny kit, and the tires are also from Joseph. SAM_0272 by mudder_trucker8
