  1. Man... didn't even know I wanted this stuff until I saw it just now!
  2. Well, the first horse is a dud... but I've stumbled onto something else that might work. Stay tuned...
  3. Skipjack... plus a Flathead V8... plus some tall and skinny slicks I already have laying around... Lee, my good sir, that might be the best idea I've seen in a long time. I'm stepping out to search for some submarine kits.
  4. For sure... though Round2 is getting it and not reissuing kits that have been 'repopped to death' like RC2 always did. Aw, come on! It's not a Yenko Stinger! You don't even have a horse in this race!
  5. Awesome.
  6. Okay... I might be in on one for those wheels and tires, but if it doesn't include the original issue's steelies and slicks, you can have the rest of the kit!
  7. The plan, as always, is this- throw random parts at the workbench, see what sticks, hope it ends up looking like a small car at the end!
  8. This hits pretty close to home- my father just had open heart surgery yesterday to remove a clot. He's fine now, but I hear the pain meds aren't agreeing with him! I'll certainly be keeping you and your family in my thoughts.
  9. My money's on the Shelby.
  10. Seems like quite a few of these are being snapped up, repainted, and treated to aftermarket decals. Wonder if Lindberg or Revell is listening in? Potential full-detail styrene kit? If for no other reason than to appease the guys who don't care for diecast? I'm keeping my fingers crossed! And keeping an eye out for a couple of these diecasts, as well.
  11. For all the scorn heaped upon diecasts, this one is proving very popular as a rebuild candidate! Still haven't found one for myself yet. Keep redoing them, guys- maybe somebody will do a full-detail styrene kit when they see how popular this diecast kit is.4 Must say those Gerogia cars look pretty fetching in that paint scheme, and it looks particularly good on the new Interceptor.
  12. My favorite type of hot rod- the low-buck DRIVER. Well, not that there's much low-buck about a Flattie-powered Deuce these days- maybe he should have built a Model A instead. Saved a few bucks on the initial purchase to go toward paint. If I ever own a 1:1 Deuce roadster, it will probably look a little like this.
  13. They are temporary concrete walls used to keep Snookie out of places where she shouldn't be. (Normal society, for instance.)
  14. I'll roll my own drop-top Hudson, thank you!
  15. Ugly with a capital 'Ugh'.
  16. My language. You speak it.
  17. Love the look of the stock body with the 'aired out' stance. Nice!
  18. Just got an order from Ken Kitchen of Kitchen table Resins, and could not be happier. I could have had it a week ago, but Ken said when he tried to cast my engine the first time, he realized the molds were shot. So, he went ahead and made a new mold, and I got my Buick inline 8 today, plus a couple of bonus goodies for the wait. Now, I waited all of fourteen days for my order to arrive, and Ken was apologizing for THAT! Considering the typical wait time for many casters when you buy direct, that's an eyeblink!
  19. Art- wanna part with that? Just send me a list of whoever you want killed...
  20. Bingo! I really don't see the hang ups some people have with what material the body is made from, or what scale it is. Granted, I have my biases and my favorites like anybody else, but MCM does a fantastic job of covering the whole spectrum.
  21. One little nit... did the new kit reviews section get lost in the carpet? Be that as it may, liking one five niner so far, still haven't soaked it in. Might need to combine the truckster cab from the patch panel how to with Jairus' Z'd frame...
  22. Sheesh- all the trouble my F-250 has given me in the five years I've owned it... Rear shackles and mounts for the springs (more chronic rust than outright failure) Starter terminal came loose (a little solder fixed that) Replaced the serpentine belt Now, it needs the radius arm bushings, and the right door speaker is starting to crackle. Other than that, don't regret a thing! I've owned newer GM products with half the miles- never had one treat me as good as my crusty old Ford, though.
  23. Haven't built the Modelhaus '61, but I do like the OOP Promolite 2000 version, which is also based on the Jo Han but whith a different chassis. Can't wait so see this one done- aren't enough '61 Plymouth models out there, IMHO.
