  1. I hear there is some positive movement on Revell and US distribution. Time will tell...
  2. The AMT Thunderbirds nose is really badly shaped. Chassis and engine are nice, build well. Engines should be a dark metallic, almost black....dark gun metal.
  3. The Hot Canary was last seen at Ollie's blow out sale for $19.99. Now they did sell out fast....but if they were at MSRP of like $70....not as well.
  4. Looks like politics is his main thrust today. I did some model art work for him years ago....had grand plans...but never came to be. He was set up at RCHTA one year.....big plans.
  5. My first thought....a great film btw..... Our family met Melisa Joan Hart at Universal way back when she was doing the witch TV show. Nice kid....
  6. I hope to be there.....
  7. May be some confusion with old S&S aftermarket company......
  8. Built both a number of times....a decent deal at the Ollie's price. Careful with the chrome!
  9. We need the correct suspension before another kit.
  10. JR Salvino is showing that all it takes is time, money and desire to start our own model company....... AMT still has tooling in a vault......I can see their logic. Today is so far from the 1960's or even the 1980's. Remember MPC sold over 1 million Duke's Chargers. Any one million sellers in the last 20 years??? We are a micro group of hobbyist..
  11. Is it based off the NASCAR kit??? Post a pic!!
  12. At a recent real car show talk turned to model cars. Of the five of us talking about the good old days (I was the only current builder) all of us had the 40 Ford.....kinda universal I think. And they all remembered it was AMT!
  13. Got mine today....very happy....I like it!
  14. I picked up a Revell 68 Charger kit at a local big box store today......$12.88......deals are out there. I am picking up Revell kits I like and are good deals.....but will not over pay.
  15. And Revell's non-communication only fuels speculation.......SOP in todays connected world....we all expect more info all the time.
  16. Correct.....vintage tooling should be able to be shipped elsewhere....in theory.....but at this time it may be tough.....and you'd have to hope no 'accidents' happen in moving. A factory in China that made about 40% of all model trains sold in the USA closed last week. Now stateside companies that 'owned' the tooling there are having to go to China and 'save' their tooling which means lots of cash for officials, factory supervisors and guards....etc etc....still not easy in a Communist state. Just FYI not trying to be a downer....
  17. Very difficult if the tooling was cut in China.....read up on Chinese partnership in everything made there.....it should scare you.
  18. More confusion for now......glimmer of hope???
  19. Nice neat craftsmanship.
  20. IMHO.......no good news.....yet
  21. It's a Monogram 1980ish Camaro kit inside. Can'r say how many they made but a good friend of mine has one. It was a promo item for the 'Used Cars' movie......basically a custom box top.
  22. RESIN Camaro is made now.......and why I said 'plastic'.....
  23. Current NASCAXR Cup kits are pretty much dead. With Revell owners now in Germany I see no more plastic kits. Just IMHO only.
