  1. Just finished this one with a few mods....Gofer decals
  2. Went to a Ollie's today. They had kits....left overs from the last load. Lindberg 1/12 Fiats, Revell pre-paint Mustang and Challenger, Patrick Cup Ford and the ships/planes. Picked a Patrick Ford since the Cup kits are missing from new spreadsheet.
  3. No kits in maybe 20 years or so.......I have a few kits with TRU price stickers......but those are mid 1990's era.
  4. That was Bob Johnson's idea. After he left Monogram he wanted to start a model company that would make kits just like the Cobra. It fail to generate enough interest to get off the ground although I did some R&D for him.
  5. I've wanted to build this trailer since I bought the IMC kit back in the 70's. I picked up the Lindberg reissue not long ago and decided to build the shorty. It is mostly box stock but I did add a back bumper of treadplate, sunken tail lights and one set of clearance lights rear. Sign boards are just .020 stock painted. Paint is every silver I had on hand. One color might make it a bit dull....so I used Testors silver, Tamiya silver leaf and gloss aluminum and some Dupli-color silver. Decals are Gofer Racing decals and are great!( I did work for Gofer at one time but I didn't do these and bought them retail ) Next I am going to build a 1955 Ford COE cab to pull it. Thanks!!!
  6. Many stalled projects....longest stalled and biggest is my 1990 Roush Racing IMSA Cougar. I spent lots of time and money, most chassis and engine built but not painted. After 3 false starts on a body back about mid 1990's it all went into a box never to see light again.....BTW it's in 1/12 scale....
  7. Monogram offered a Daytona coupe body and tire/wheel KIT in 1/32 scale to be used with their slot car chassis. A very nice kit that I had hoped would be made into a static kit someday.
  8. Not a downer....but you may be right. We have to hope we are a small enough group the site can handle it......as much as I love Modelhaus stuff...it ain't Amazon level of hits.
  9. Dis-closer: I have not talked directly to any of my Revell contacts but hear some are working with Revell's new owners in some capacity.
  10. Let's say the two would be related for sure. My brother in law was AMII art director and helped with kit design before he unexpectedly passed away while working for AMII. What could have been.......
  11. My So Cal buddy was there.....has a few projects working for this year.....(showrods)
  12. If Accurate Miniatures had made it longer than it did......we would have gotten a full range of Cobras.....they had done the design work for a number of high end die cast so info was in house.
  13. That's my fear....It's not on the spreadsheet and I am not sure New Revell will issue a 'humorous' WWII vehicle.....or any TD kits.....like Baja....(see the flak RoG got for their WWII German flying saucer kit)
  14. They used to have a saying 'nothing is for sure but death and taxes'.....some are skating on the tax thing so we are down to ONE sure thing. Those folks involved in the new Revell announcement are pretty trust worthy.....but you are correct....nothing is 100% for sure until it is in front of YOU.....but I am hopeful.
  15. Cool...I like!
  16. It's fishing.....if someone bites...good...if not..no cost to seller. You see it on ebay a lot when they offer no fee selling days.
  17. NICE all around!!!
  18. All those on the page linked were sellers OTHER than WalMart.....folks selling through WM site. Some of our WM's have kits...none near me.....about 2 hours away do.....
  19. Didn't know we had other OGR folks here....great work!
  20. My Hobby Lobby still has a Foose truck...at 40% off it's a lot less than folks have paid of late.
  21. Not a chevy guy....anything new is Great news. Difference between 68 and 69??? I have some 69 chevy short track cars I want to build.
  22. All depends on the agreement of the license. I held a large number of licenses for NASCAR properties and all allowed for 'stock on hand' to be sold when the license expired. Anyone that signs otherwise is not to bright.....but yes....I mistakenly applied my past licenses to Revell and none of us here know those details.
  23. Well done...saw many run back in the day.
