  1. I have it!!!! But I did the decal art so..........I'd bought one if I had not been involved as I like Hudsons and my buddy has 5 Hudsons and his Dad drag race one too. Just cool cars. GREAT kit btw
  2. Good to see another WV modeler here. I have a few Fords myself......
  3. I'm in Wayne.....11 hour HARD drive so I am in for the night....see ya Sat!!
  4. Nice neat clean build....... I am a little bias as I did the decal art for that set....nice to see it built!!!! I offer the decals for the white car fyi.....
  5. Drop by the PENNGWEN HOBBIES table and say hello.......
  6. Wonder if R2 has the molds??? you did good!
  7. I will be attending with Penngwen Hobbies decals and kits....
  8. I always understood it was due to California'a liberal wheelbase and overall length laws that allowed big trucks. Dad worked for Valvoline Oil out of Los Angles and they'd run double 40ft flat beds in the 60's.....
  9. Very nice build!!!! But I am bias! I want my 1/1 46 coupe to look somewhat like your build. At some point I hope to paint it factory maroon with steel wheels/trim rings......I need to build a model until I get funds for the 1/1. Thx
  10. You make the kit look good!!!
  11. Enjoyed his work.....Prayers to family...RIP
  12. Packages, all types, are permitted to 'sit' at each stop for one day if need be.....which means anything from full truck to 'I forgot' to load it. SOP
  13. Not long ago I was doing a lot of ebay selling.....Charleston takes 3 days to travel two counties over but SoCal, 3000 miles, takes 2 days.....Gov't at work!!
  14. I have a real soft spot for PYRO kits and have collected a number of them. As a kid it was much easier to talk Mom into a 39 cent PYRO kit than a $1 AMT kit at PIC N SAVE. I didn't like the kits at the time....no chrome was the biggest issue. But now I'd buy them all again if R2 decides to run them all again. Great thread.
  15. I live in the most rural county East of the Mississippi. So I order and track LOTS of items. My favorite: Package leaves Chicago, Ill, Columbus Ohio, Charleston WV. I figure my house next as I am close to Charleston.....NO....package goes to Greensboro NC, then Charlotte NC. Where now??? Greensboro!!! It gets worse as back to Charleston WV........finally to me. If this was the only one.....a bad day for a postal worker.....but I see this ALL THE TIME!! When I complained on a forum I was told by a USPS person it was 'logistics' working as designed....he knows as that's his job!!!! The Emperor has no clothes!!!
  16. The good thing about AMC being flat broke was how they used and reused parts. A kit manufacture could engineer a tool to make the 70-74 cars with less tooling than might seem needed. The real Javelin doors and glass was the same for all years. Chassis was unchanged for those years......a 68-69 Javelin was different. A 71 is a good choice for a number of reasons......and I being bias agree!!! I've pitched a Javelin a few times....I hope someone does one while I can still build!!!
  17. You made it look as good as the box art!!!!
  18. Thought it was the same as the Scrambler kit......
  19. Who wants to build??? I do the decals!!!!
  20. Terry is sending me a CD of all photos. John G asked to use them too.....I send stuff like this to him on a regular basis.
  21. No arm twisting here......I have owned about 6 AMC's but down to two now. And having owned Mustangs and Camaros I have a good amount of insight into who was best. The Camaro is gone....still have my 66 Mustang....do the math. My 1973 Javelin is a two owner car....I'm the 2nd. If it was a Camaro, Mustang or Cuda it would be worth MUCH more than what my insurance policy says it's worth. It has some cool options and a 'perforated vinyl' interior that is original and hard to find after 44 years 100% intact. So AMC kits are high on my list of wants. Here's hoping!!
