Welcome back to the hobby. It is one of the greatest things that you can do for yourself. Find some local contest/swap meets, and you will really be able to load up on after market goodies.

Geoff, accidently/on purpose bought a second one of that same kit. Price from a friend was too good to pass up on! LOL

Speedhunters builds a Model
Bill Eh? replied to martinfan5's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Cool article Jonathan. I need to get that kit (badly)! Here in Toronto, LHS that are well stocked with Aoshima kits, are few and far between. I do a lot of eBay business and have a HLJ account. Now I just need to start using it. LOL I'll never catch up to your FR-S 86 accumulation! -
Is Gorilla Super glue the sames as CA?
Bill Eh? replied to Len Woodruff's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Len, Gorilla Glue is not the same. Would not recommend it for models. I have used it, and it expands as it cures. -
3 morons, 3 dead Lamborghinis
Bill Eh? replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
This is a quote from Wrecked Exotics web site: "Car: Lamborghini Aventador, 2 Gallardos Description: 5 Lamborghinis from Singapore were travelling together in Malaysia as part of a charity event. A local driver swerved into one of the Lamborghinis, causing it to crash into the guardrail. 2 other Lamborghinis were not able to avoid the accident, and all three were eventually engulfed in flames and completely destroyed. -
So is the 'rat rod' craze officially over?

Richard's thoughts are well expressed. To me, they show that he has a lot of common sense. -
How did you melt yours?
Bill Eh? replied to Lunajammer's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Bill, I too was a kid. I had completed the Gemini capsule, detail painted it and all. Thought that it looked good sitting on top of the lampshade of my desk lamp. The heatshield could not hold up to the heat given off by the bulb and the bottom melted out. : ( -
Michael Paul Smith's Incredible dioramas and models

Darren, just to let you know that this topic has been recently locked. Not because it is off-topic, but because it has been posted numerous times lately. -
What's Your Favorite Decal Sheet?
Bill Eh? replied to Casey's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have to go along with Casey on any of the Gofer Racing sets. Also, the Dr. Cranky's sets are colourful, interesting and well printed. The decals for the Tamiya Porsche 911 GT1 are well done and make for an amazing livery. -
Business Card Holder

Very refreshing to see purpose-built dioramas of such outstanding quality. Masterpieces in miniature. -

"RUSH" the movie
Bill Eh? replied to DavidChampagne's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I too saw the movie last night, with some friends who are F1 enthusiasts. I thought the movie was very well done. As Dale said, Hasegawa has a great version of the 312T2. If you combined that with Tamiya's M23 (which is being rereleased), you could create an interesting diorama. -
Toronto Model Car Contest and Flea Market - Pics Uploaded!

A few more names of individuals who will attend; Alex Kung, Peter McDonald, and myself. -
Chris, for Tamiya acrylics, I use Tamiya acrylic thinner. For just about everything else, (cheap) lacquer thinner. Every type and brand has its own characteristics as to thinning ratios. As Mike said, start with 1:1 and go from there; either more thinner or less thinner. Heck, even within some paint lines, you have to thin differently depending on which colour your spraying; different colour pigments can each have a different viscosity.

Hey Chris, if you are thinking about an Iwata Neo, then if you could stretch the budget a little further, then consider the Iwata Revolution CR. Are you going to the Group 25 contest next weekend?

Getting the spacing and proportion of painted stripes correct is a tough challenge. You succeeded very well. Great job on the Mustang.

A beautiful Jag to be sure. Nice to see that it is actually wearing the proper 'Silk Cut' decals. Great build; please post many more in the future.

As with all of your other posted completions, this one too is a beauty.

As I have the same kit; yes it is a 1/24 Revell Germany kit.
