  1. Saw this V12 XKE at a customers shop last week. The paint was flawless.
  2. Very nice, been waiting to see this one done.
  3. I work for a national auto parts chain (I don't dare say which one for fear of retaliation) and we routinely get customers who don't even know what brand of vehicle they drive much less the trim level. Also don't know which engine they have. Usually it's a female under forty but some young men as well. How can you not know what kind of vehicle it is when it is badged right in the center of the steering wheel??
  4. I am very sorry to hear this Carl.
  5. Many episodes of these shows are on youtube
  6. I built an 80's era reissue of the 40 ford that had the stock Buick valve covers in it. Not sure when the change was made.
  7. The Thunderbirds or maybe Fireball XL5.
  8. Saw this Dakota at a local convenience store. Owner wasn't very talkative, when I asked what was under the hood he just replied "big block".
  9. Here she is. Only mods were omitting the over scale front fender braces, removing the passenger foot pegs and adjusting the angle of the handlebars. Now wish I had removed the rubber flap from the rear fender as well. I made the usual couple of bonehead mistakes that I make on every build. When I removed the passenger peg mounts I accidentally cut off the exhaust pipe mounting pins, so the pipes are glued to whatever they touch. I also for got the horn but don't think I can get it in place without damaging something as it is very hard to handle now that every thing is in place. Brush painted with Testors little bottle dark red and several parts were dechromed and sprayed with Tamiya TS 17 aluminum. Pros: Good detail and decent parts fit. Cool subject (to me anyway). Good decals with several spares. Cons: Chrome was pretty scuffed up right out of the box and it was bagged separately. The locating bump for the tail light places it too close to the seat. It should be about halfway between seat and end of fender. Lack of clear headlight lens. License plate looks oversize to me
  10. What irked me today? The political comments by a few of the members on this forum! I model to escape this BS and I will leave this forum for good if this continues (as if anyone would care anyway).?
  11. That's why I keep my savings in an old sock lol.?
  12. That is just beautiful!
  13. I can only remember the "faceted" Pactra bottles from my childhood. I always considered Pactra superior to Testors back then.
  14. Very realistic looking.
  15. I really like this!
  16. Cool gasser.
  17. Nice work and good color choice.
  18. Great paint work and nice moccasins.
  19. Beautiful engine David. Engines are my favorite part of a model to build.
  20. Looking nice Mike.
  21. Nice Cougar! As a fellow Flobro I am also tired of rain and it looks to be continuing for a while longer.
  22. Love the Model A on Deuce rails.
