  1. That's a bummer about the paint on the body but at least it all came off without incident. The interior looks fantastic. David G.
  2. You nailed it with the stance and your choice of wheels. David G.
  3. That's a bummer about the grille. Nice stance on the tail dragger though. Do you have a color in mind yet? David G.
  4. What a great idea! Nicely done, great weathering on the chassis too. David G.
  5. Fabulous work on all three! I especially like the Woody, beautiful wood effects on that. I have one in my stash and keep putting off building it, I really should get to that this year. David G.
  6. WoW! ? I remember your WIP on this one and all the difficulty you had fabricating the grille. It turned out great, well worth the effort! The rest of the model looks great too, especially the decal work. Truly one of a kind. David G.
  7. Thanks Rusty, I appreciate your comment. Getting that overly bright look was one of my main concerns, I'm glad I was able to avoid that. David G.
  8. As a replica, it looks pretty close to me! You managed to capture the look and feel of the original very nicely. David G.
  9. Holy Cow! ? Seeing the illustration is one thing, seeing it knocked together is something else entirely. BTW, you have a better wheel selection than my LHS! David G.
  10. Excellent engine and chassis detail! The interior is coming along nicely too but I agree with Carl, all the VW seats I've seen were plain or had textured vinyl. Of course, a custom build is a custom build and you can build them any way you want. In that case, those decals would be great for a Bomber Jacket Leather look. David G.
  11. Nice weathering! This is the first time I've seen anyone articulate a plow, that should be really cool when it's done. David G.
  12. Thank you very much for your kind words Steve. I thought it would be a shame to build all that cool detail and never really see it again. And yes, Evan Designs will certainly be my source for all my future lighting projects. Thank you for watching Sean and thanks for your comment. It's rather strange that you couldn't get solvent cement to work with yours. I'm currently using Tamiya Extra Thin Cement on this one, what brand did you use on yours? David G.
  13. This looks like it's going to be one great old school Low Rider! David G.
  14. It's great to see an update on this one. Your interior detail looks fantastic! David G.
  15. No, one step at a time. Maybe someday I'll get to where I can do lighting like that but for now I need to start simply. Thanks for your comment Carl, it's nice to know that someone's watching. David G.
  16. Great paint, assembly and detailing, fabulous work! David G.
  17. The color mix looks perfect, nicely done! David G.
  18. Hello Everybody! I got the lighting kit installed and just had to take a couple of test shots. I was going for a "dome lights on" effect. I think using two Chip Nano Pico LEDs in warm white was the right choice. The next step is to work out the window tint. As always, thanks for taking time to look and please feel free to comment. David G.
  19. The interior looks great, excellent dash detail. It looks like your paint laid down well too. David G.
  20. Ah, that's the question I was asking without actually asking it! I knew that mounting stock wheels to a shortened axle would put them deep in the well and I was wondering how you planned to address that. An excellent solution BTW. David G.
  21. Beautiful paint and foil work! David G.
