  1. Thank you Eyman, I'm glad you like it. Here's a quick shot of the model in my display case. It's a bit overexposed to capture the meeting of the dashboard and body work. I don't recall there being any problem with the fit of the interior tub into the body. The inner fenders are another story entirely. I do remember building some fillers with sheet styrene. If you're interested, here is a link to the short build thread I posted back in 2017. I also remember some fit issues with the rear bumper. It must be very exciting to have the resin kit in your possession, I can't wait to see more. David G.
  2. Nice work with the wipers and antenna. Currently I use 17 gauge guitar string to replace the antennae on my builds. It doesn't have the telescopic effect that your method does but it's better than the chrome garden hose offered by most kits. Excellent job on correcting the fit of the grille and the headlight mod will be a nice addition too. David G.
  3. Paint, detail and finish all look great from every angle, excellent work! David G.
  4. Nice work so far. I built this model as the Gotham City PD cruiser... only one of its many release configurations. Despite the kit's shortcomings, it can be built into a decent looking model. I can't wait to see where you go with yours. David G.
  5. Thank you Chaz. David G.
  6. I think the grille surround looks good but I don't know what your vision for it is. David G.
  7. The wheel position and ride height look correct. Nice scratch building (I assume) on the torque boxes. David G.
  8. I like where you're going with this. David G.
  9. I can see some of the bits you're talking about but overall, the balance looks good. Besides, it's probably better to exorcise those demons here than on the Star Destroyer. The color combination is much more striking than the traditional Haze Gray. Beware of the ship that wants to be seen. David G.
  10. Love the color, engine detail looks great too. David G.
  11. Love the color scheme. Your build-work looks great too. David G.
  12. The wood work, engine detail, paint color and finish all look great. Fabulous work! David G.
  13. Beautiful work so far! This looks like it will be a very satisfying kit to build. David G.
  14. Hello Everybody. I was able to get a little more done with fitting the roof this weekend. Having the roof in its permanent and stable position revealed that there was more work to be done... of course there was. Because of the gap filler I added to the head of the roof the drip rail trim now falls short of meeting with the trim around the windshield. The end of the drip rail is also tapered and misshapen so it has to go. I made a relief cut on each side with a photo etch micro saw and filed the trim molding to just above the roof. I wanted to leave a little bit of the old trim as a base and positioning guide for the replacement. The next step was to cut and glue in the replacement strips. On this side, the gap filler I added to the roof can be clearly seen behind the windshield frame. Adding this strip of styrene greatly increased the smoothness and stability of the joint. And yes, I did straighten out that tilt after I took the photo, gotta love that Tamiya Extra Thin Cement! Right now I'm in the filling and filing stage and should have more done soon. David G.
  15. Nice work with the trim. Bummer with the paint. Hopefully the next shot will be even better than the first. David G.
  16. Love the black and white paint scheme! Very classy. Congratulations on the ink too. I haven't received my issue yet but I'm looking forward to scoping it out. David G.
  17. Impressive work on this one! David G.
  18. Nice recovery on the hood! It looks better than the original. David G.
  19. The interior, chassis and paint all look great! David G.
  20. This seems like a fun project. David G.
  21. That works nicely. It'll look great when you smooth it all in. In case you didn't already know, Round 2 is releasing a "Surf Shark" variant of the Ecto 1-A Here's a link to the video, the Surf Shark is featured at about the 4 minute mark. David G.
  22. Excellent work! This one seems to have fought you every step of the way, I admire your patience and determination. David G.
  23. Nicely Done! David G.
  24. It's amazing how a paint scheme can change the whole character of a ship. Nicely Done! I fount it! On the bottom row next to the STS. BTW, that's a lot of starships. David G.
