  1. Nice work so far! By the proportions, it kind of looks like it should be a rear/mid engine car. I can easily imagine a big ol' blower sticking up in front of the wing. Or at least an air intake of some kind. David G.
  2. Excellent work on the mods so far! David G.
  3. I think the first set looked better. Suspension scraping the road...? When has that ever stopped a lowrider? Seriously though, I do remember seeing some Camaros sporting wheels like the first set you tried and they looked pretty good that way. I think if you can find a way to make them work, that would be the way to go. David G.
  4. Great work on both Craig! I like the figure too. Thanks for posting them. Polar Lights snap kits are the best, aren't they? Very cool Declan. I'm afraid don't recognize the base vehicle. It sure would be interesting to see how you would install a jet engine in that tiny thing. That would be an impressive feat of engineering! David G.
  5. Thank you Chaz. Thank you Dave but I owe the inspiration for the grille adjustments to Rusty @bisc63, it's his advise that pointed me in the right direction. I had made some of my own adjustments that brought the gap a little closer but without his input, I most likely would have left the gap as it was then. I never saw that movie but I did think that this body would make a great basis for an airport limo conversion. A courtesy car for the Las Vegas Hilton, circa 1961. Thank you David. Rather like sifting the ground cover as it's applied to a model railroad. I'll have to keep that in mind, thanks for the tip. Thanks Mike. It kind of reminds me of the shag carpet that the custom van builders used to use back in the Seventies. Thanks to all, David G.
  6. Beautiful tractor! Nice clean build, excellent detail work, great color and decals. David G.
  7. Beautiful work! Color, fit and finish are all spot-on. Great diorama too. David G.
  8. Hello Everyone. The interior is now complete and the work of fitting the roof to the body has begun in earnest. Here are a couple of shots of the interior. Here is a tighter shot that better shows the decal that AMT thoughtfully provided for the dashboard instrumentation. I haven't used this gray flocking in a while and now I remember why. It often comes out looking like shag carpet. I think I'll go back to using the embossing powder from here on out. That's all for now. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to leave a comment. David G.
  9. Beautifully done! It could easily pass for 1:1. David G.

  14. I'm on board for this one (sorry), it looks to be an interesting project. Do you plan to super detail this like your Star Destroyer? David G.

  16. Thank you Rusty. How far along are you on yours? I got the dashboard decal applied yesterday, I should be posting more photos soon. David G.
  17. Looks great! David G.
  18. Definitely do a spoon test first. It's best to know about possible compatibility issues before painting the body. Whenever I feel discouraged with the way one of my builds is going, I remind myself of a saying that I came up with years ago: "Each kit I build is really only practice for the next one." I even put it in my signature line. David G.
  19. What a great concept. I can't wait to see what you do with this. David G.
  20. Beautifully Done! Paint and detailing are excellent as is your photography. David G.
  21. Nice van, great work on the figure too. Many people paint the figures too shiny, yours looks just right. David G.

  24. Looks fantastic! The flame decals are excellent, are they from the kit? David G.
