I want to see if I can knock another one out before the end of the year. I bought this pile of parts years ago at the Desert Scale Classic for a couple of dollars. One sleepless night about a decade ago, I pulled this mess out with the intent of sorting and cataloging it all. As one might imagine, I ended up actually working on it. That's when the name Karma Bug came into my mind. There's no logical reason for the name, it's just what I started calling it in my mind. This is the original kit as it was released back in 1987. Ah the eighties... Let's see if I can save this kit from its past. With some wheels from the parts box, I now have something to work with. Looks like a previous owner wanted to make poor little car a flip-nose custom. *sigh* Yup, I'm goin' there! I'll need to lift the tail a little... or shorten the prop. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to post a comment, critique or suggestion. David G.

Among all the other cool features, I really like the scrap metal license plate idea. I may have to borrow that some day. David G. -

I just finished one of these too! Yours came out nice. Love the color choice and racing bits, kind of an 80's street machine look. David G.

I'm impressed by your seat-of-the-pants engineering. You have a lot of very cool stuff going on there. Also, I'm glad to see that you seem to have decided on using the moons for the rear wheels. You just can't go wrong with a classic! David G.

I actually finished this one almost two weeks ago but I was having trouble getting good photos. This is the AMT Super Wagon drag racing version. For those who may be interested, I have a build thread here. My new cell phone camera is just rubbish. I have to trick it into taking decent photos. But I finally managed to get a good capture of the color. Most of the photos I took made it look too pale or too red. These aren't as good as I would like but they are about the best I've been able to get. I'm fairly pleased with this one. Though I wish it had just a bit more shine. Here is an earlier shot of the cargo I made for it. I couldn't get a good photo of it with the lid on. Thank you to those who provided feedback and support during the build. I can't tell you how many good ideas I've gleaned from all the comments and recommendations I've received over the years. On to the next project. Let's see if I can knock out one more before 2020.
