  1. There's actually a bit on this very topic in "The IT Crowd", which is a hysterical British sitcom. Check this video at about 5:30. (Not endorsing this you tuber at all - he's terrible and I don't understand watching someone watch a show and making inane comments.) But the show is great!
  2. I acquired this one fairly recently. I found out about it while looking for the Carl Casper phone booth kit. I think it qualifies as rare but there are a couple on eBay. Parts are all accounted for including the acetate for the windows and the rubber band to activate the "wheelie" motion. There is a bit of assembly started on the motor and the figure.
  3. And they will continue to do so as long as the "dogs" continue to lick it up. Unfortunately.
  4. After finding out about R&D Unique I went snooping and found these items for cheap. Most of the stuff listed on eBay is very high. These were all very inexpensive for some reason. Restores your faith in humanity. I'm pretty stoked about the air compressor mainly.
  5. At least for the moment, Firefox is treating me very well. I use it in conjunction with Privacy Badger, AdBlocker Ultimate and Duckduckgo Privacy Essentials as well as Cookie Auto delete. Seems like a lot, but they are all free and work flawlessly together. I never have any hiccups, and zero ads on any site. If a site wants me to disable ad blockers to view it I handle it on a case by case basis. Personally I can't imagine using Chrome. It's too much Big Brother for me.
  6. I have that Lotus kit and man it's cool. They're usually way expensive and rare these days but I lucked out and got one semi-cheap. If possible, I'd love to see the one you built, black plastic and all.
  7. I found this kit on ebay. It was listed as no box and seller didn't know what version of the trucks they were, but they were sealed in bags . As it turns out the box was original, just missing the artwork, and the kits were packaged together by a now defunct railroad hobby supplier. I printed an image found online and affixed it to the box. Now it at least looks original.
  8. Beautiful! I especially like the little Chevy pickup.
  9. There should be a version of this with a jacked up diesel pickup. That seems to be where the "real men" migrated to.
  10. This is a topic each individual has to decide for himself. I doubt it's proper content for this forum.
  11. Nice, creative job on all. I especially dig the Meter Cheater! I have a T-Bone Stake to build and I like seeing others of this ilk.
  12. Outstanding work all around! The figures and interior textures are very realistic. The diorama tells a little story which adds to the interest hugely.
  13. Super smooth and clean build. Well done sir!
  14. Pretty phenomenal work you're doing on this. Love the truck!
  15. It's the 47 and 48 grilles as well. In my opinion the whole front of the car is too flat and the corners are too sharp.
  16. Too late! I tried to get my boy interested long ago but he is now 34 and out in the world. I think video games were a big part of the reason. On the bright side, he's now a professional hydro-electric engineer, so the games didn't seem to melt his brain.
  17. I never throw out anything useful in styrene terms any more. My kids are gonna hate me when I'm gone!
  18. I actually clamped the glass in place to help maintain the contour. I found it difficult to keep the post aligned and the roof square without it. Since its full of stress cracks I won't be using it except for potentially a junkyard diorama. As far as the roof - I hope it went to a good home. It seems like all of these are broken for some reason.
  19. Can you explain this a little further for my weak brain? It sounds like you might be suggesting a contour template?
  20. Man, coming from you, that is high praise. Thanks for the vote of confidence!
  21. Both of them look great. I particularly like the sedan. Where did you get the rims?
  22. That's a thing? For taggers and stuff?
  23. Nicely done, Tom! In retrospect, this might have been cleaner, at least for me. I love the use of the bed to build that rat rod. The great thing about plastic is that...it's plastic!
