  1. This is so true of so many you tube presentations. For every good video on any subject, there are at least ten that look like the guy just rolled out of bed and started recording with no thought about what their video looks like. Incoherent mumbling and shaky camera and lots of irrelevant stories about nothing in particular.
  2. What a cool wife to have kept something like this safe over the years! Great model too.
  3. Oh and I got several engines, transmissions, 9" rear ends and some Jackman wheels from Texas 3D Customs. You should really check is stuff out. It's second to none!
  4. I got a Scuz-Fink. I've been watching the dumb prices on eBay for these and a new one finally popped up at a significantly lower price, so I pulled the trigger. This comes pretty close to competing my collection of the Ed Roth monster kits. I also got this original 1970 issue T'rantula which looked pretty complete and was described as "started" When it arrived I discovered that nothing is glued or painted at all, and without inventory, I think all parts are present. It also happened to have a cool little turtle deck drag body in the box. Does anyone know which kit it is from? Sorry, it's upside down in the picture and I'm too lazy to take a new one right now. Thirdly, I also got a 1997 re-issue of the Revell Gypsy Dune Buggy. I'd never seen it before and I found it at the bottom of a rabbit hole I was following.
  5. You can afford one of each??? Wish I could.
  6. Lol! What it makes me think of is my 10 year old self trying to carefully apply glue out of a tube that never seemed to stop flowing. glue on fingers, work surface, and all over the model. I'm taking apart that Tiuana Taxi right now. It will live again, but maybe with some donor pieces.
  7. I have several marked at 40 cents on the lids. I also got these three Pactras in a kit I bought at some point. The silver is unused and viable. The black is barely used and good too. The yellow is separated and I can't seem to shake it enough to mix it. Anyone have any idea where Broadbents is?
  8. This looks great just like this.
  9. I find a perverse pleasure in making stuff like this usable. It's almost as if you're getting it for free.
  10. They're out there. Occasionally they show up on eBay for almost tolerable prices. I'm using this one for parts for another rebuilder that I have spent too much time on. We'll see what I can get off of it without too much carnage.
  11. This poor Taxi may have hauled it's last passenger. I got this in a trade and I am glad to have it to try to harvest parts. While I do like trying to save kits, this one is more glue than plastic. Things have been welded together with prejudice!
  12. Welcome from Central Texas Brian!
  13. I once bought a semi-rare watch from Ebay and the seller packed it pretty poorly. Then USPS crushed the box causing one end to pop open. They delivered me an empty, broken box and a note on how to file a claim...I'm not so sure someone at the postal service isn't proudly wearing my watch to work every day.
  14. Gotta love USPS. The only thing I can say is they are better (most of the time) than UPS, Fedex, etc...
  15. Where I live, potholes ARE the road. After it rains the county comes and grades it and it's smoother for a few days - but dusty.
  16. Hah! I just picked one of these up, too. Mine is not sealed, but new in the kinda rough box and it's the 1971 version. Glad to see I'm not the only one who finds this kind of stuff fascinating.
  17. I love this! You going to poke some holes it the fenders for the exhaust to exit?
  18. Had a great trading experience with larrymoo. Top notch guy!
  19. I've got a brand new package of BMF that's 20 years old...
  20. Awesome, thank you!
  21. My search function will not find any results. Not sure if this is related to missing content but the timing is suspicious.
  22. One of the best looking builds. Period.
  23. Hah, mine too! Nothing there…
