  1. Just a bit of fun, when I was bored.
  2. OK, the post hasn't found any escale waifs, thanks for letting me put it up Harry. We must have found most of the lunatics. LOL,
  3. We seem to have found most of the members (I think) It's a shame the site suddenly died. I'm looking for any missing members that were left hanging. If anyone wants to know what bicycle shed we're smoking cigarettes behind now, PM me please. Shay.
  4. That's a fantastic start Pete.
  5. Google Saab's BioPower engine, it's old news. All of the low pressure turbos sold over here were badged as Bio Power, most of them never ran on E85 ever, it was difficult to find. Everything this side of the Pond is turbodiesel theses days. I still don't like them.
  6. We had E85 I think it was called here for a while, 15% ethanoI, petrol turbos went very well on it. Saab's basic low pressure 2 litre turbo went from 150 hp to 175, just with a new tank full of juice.
  7. That front end looks perfect JC.
  8. Looking forward to both, but especially the standard body version, it would look great as an RS 2000, if you could get decals for it, I'd even be happy to see a basic 1100cc Mk1 Keep it up Andy.
  9. Bristol used/reproduced the BMW engines under license from AFN. The technology was pre war, BMW 328 for example. Bristol only started to manufacture cars after WW2. The Ace had 3 engines during it's lifespan, AC's own engine, the BMW sired Bristol engine and then the Ford straight six, which with triple carbs and a Mays cylinder head was the fastest of them all. Great work on the front end JC.
  10. Local modification I'd imagine JC. There was a category in the UK back in the 70's, all sorts of thing were allowed, Jag XK 150 with wide slicks and a spoiler, Beetle with F1 suspension etc. It was called Modsports, so it could be a left over from then, unrestored and slightly modded. Just a guess.
  11. I remember you asking about the engine ages ago JC. Great to see it works out and you're on the case!
  12. Nice, I haven't seen an Escort Cossie for a while.
  13. The Windscreen surround looks a hell of a lot better JC. The molded in wipers are dreadful.
  14. Beautiful result on what is a rather basic kit JC. You did a bit of work on the Windscreen surround too I see.
  15. That's looking great JC.
  16. Love the Gulf colours Lloyd.
  17. They had four wheel discs for sure, I'm pretty sure they were grooved too, they were running on small rims back then, so small brakes and brake fade otherwise.
  18. Thanks for the video Jonathan, I'd only seen it over a bad Skype link so far.
  19. I was glad to see the square headlights too, you need them for the Alan Mann racer.,nice red and gold paint job and you're done. But I did see a review (that I can't find again..) saying that it looks difficult to lower it down to Tarmac spec. It's an expensive kit to cut up though.
  20. The Spot lamps look fantastic JC, never seen a Cobra with them before.
  21. Beautiful model, it's a Turbo not an SC though.
  22. Good to see the Yanks back, great result today for Romain.
  23. My local arts and crafts type shop have Liquidex rattle cans for sale for a while now. it's not a model shop although they have some in stock. I asked how it would work on models, they didn't know but gave me a small test can (30 ml) which was nice. It came out dreadfully thick and lumpy, and all I paint with is rattle cans, so I do know how to use them. It's a while ago now, but I think you can actually wash the paint off.
