Since I already started with sometrash talk I figure I might as well jump in with a build. I'll be running this years Cannonball in a.........wait for it...........Mid 70's Datsun pick up. I think its a 77, the kit doesn't say. I built this kit years ago when it was a current issue, 1979, and it was a total glue bomb. This one should turn out a little better. I managed to have a good friend sniper this one off ebay for me a few weeks ago.

Ride height looks good to me. If you do want to lower it anymore you could always relocate the mounting pins up higher, that wouldn't take much work.

"Colored Tires" is such a racest turm. I believe the PC name they prefer to be called is "Latex Pigmented".

Its very strange that the Airfix and MPC kits are totally different seeing how Airfix reissued several other MPC toolings in their own box.

This looks like the same truck that was on Chacing Classic Cars on Velocity channel about a year and a half ago. Wayne Carrini put it up for auction for the owner and couldn't get 30-40K for it, the owner had something like 60-80K into it.

Since there is no front plate I would bet there was a tempoary tag on the rear.

Might work a little better if you took a few scale inches out of the center to make it narrower. Other than that I like it.

Is it any wonder Revell won't make any kits of Asian cars ?? About 10-15 years ago they tried with a Honda Civic and Acura Integra and those sold soooooo well.

I didn't take any pics but just last month I was at a car show and saw a 90's T-bird with the 49/50 Ford front and rear conversions........it didn't look any better or worse than the car they started with.

Maybe we could just get another re-issue of the Gremlin with those decals to make the Levi's interior......

Yeah, in the early-mid 90's AMT ran a promotion where if you sent in 6 UPC bar codes you could get a free kit. I think there were like 8 kits to choose from. I got at least 4 69 Plymouth GTX's that way, most of those were used as parts donors for other Mopar kits.
