  1. Yes ,he does have SKILLS! Also persistence and determination! Excellent video!
  2. That 61 Pontiac Ambulance body would be cool to 3-d scan and print in 1/25 scale. I wonder if Robert Burns will/can do it? He is on Facebook as (Too many projects)
  3. Reminds me of a Bad Chad build on Utube with a L'Universal GM show van flair! I like it!
  4. I am reading/ looking on page 112 of 697 in that thread. Only 585 more to look at! Excellent period photos gentlemen!
  5. Johan has licensed all it's kits to STL. files that we can now download and print off our 3-d printers for a small fee ? Any obsolete Johan kit is now available? That would bring JOHAN into the 22 century, now wouldn't it? Just think the company wouldn't have to resurrect any tooling . Just scan an old mint kit , lay it out in a nice printable file , collect the money . give out a password and Print ! No packaging, no tooling ,( no China production) Direct ship to the end user via computer and his 3-d printer!( I am just guessing here , Please don't repeat this as fact!)
  6. They are reissuing the BF Goodrich promo truck by reverse 3-d printing? The 35 Mercedes street rod is finally coming out? They found the molds to the Testor's run of the 4 Prostreet Models? Come on Tony tell us already!
  7. Also in the "Out of Sight" movie on U-Tube, at 1:07:16, is Jim Lytle's" Quad Al" still on the trailer! ( Look for the chain around the rear double slicks!)
  8. Ken Kitchen of Kitchen Table Resins used to make it. He is out of business now . Maybe someone can 3-D print it?
  9. Yes the chassis from the 1/1 T-bird is just like the real cars(1/1) wheelbase of 120 inches(Lincoln) But if you were scratch building it basing it on the 76 Torino ( a real 1976 Torino is 114inch wheel base)(assuming that the Revell measurement is correct on the 1/25th)you still would have to cut six scale inches out of the chassis? Just thinking out loud! Time to test fit!
  10. Justin Porter, if they buy this kit from you have them open it and check it at the store!
  11. Bought 2 straight from Atlantis. Both had part no 16 short-shot. I e-mailed them and they took care of it ,pronto! Rick shipped out the new Parts and the Drag links in 3 days! Excellent customer service! Bravo, Atlantis, Bravo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??
  12. Robb Hall, remember it was a full moon and St. Patrick's Day. Drinking, Driving, Distraction , Warm Weather, and SPEED, lead to crashes!
  13. Mine is the red stock Viper inside.
  14. I'd say use the Amt 1969 Ford Galaxie chassis underneath if the wheel-base fits? These were still full frame cars underneath.
  15. Oldcarfan27, Looks good for a scratch-built! Are you sure Paul Hettick isn't helping you on this one? Let's see more!
  16. I have a Snap Fast Viper from Amt. I believe it was only marked on the box as the Viper TV Series . Inside was just an unassembled regular promo? They did a black Dodge Stealth also. Google it and go to images to see both boxes>
  17. Bobby G , and 1972 Cornet. Yes I heard that about their Product Manager Jamie Hood and it doesn't bother me one bit! ( we can convert him to a model car guy! LOL)We all aren't Trekkies, and we all aren't car guys. one hand washes the other! Can't we all get along ? John G at Round 2 is a model car guy!(He loves Show Rods). When all the boomers are gone to the big Model car garage in the Sky, then the products have to be appropriate to the age demographic to make $$$$$$$$$$$$$$. that means fifties and Muscle cars give way to 1970's & 1980's land yachts .( station wagons, Etc.) and injection molding could give way to digital files ,by subscription, to print off your next model! The future is bright ,and the possibilities are endless. anything can be made now! You can scan any 1/1 car( with the right scanner ,expensive now but will come down eventually in price) and print that eventually to your printer! The future truly is now!
  18. This newly tooled/ clone of the original kit will bring joy to everyone in the aftermarket !.Looking into my crystal ball, I can see more decals produced for this kit in the aftermarket ( Slixx and others). Also exciting is more resin/ 3-d printed parts engineered by the aftermarket ! I see this new tool as being in the lineup up for many, many years. As slow as Revell- Germany is in getting their 1965/1966 Stock Mustangs and Shelby versions back to the market ( they are 1/24th scale), this should be a good seller for Round 2. I can see a 1966 GT version ,with and w/o pony interior .Also a 1966 GT350 , Hertz GT350H and a GT350R models are possible, with Shelby licensing down the road. They also could release a T-5 model(decal option only or photo etched)with gas cap and side emblems put out as T-5 decals) for our European overseas model builder friends( especially Germany). Almost forgot 3 unforgettable Drag race cars,-Tasca Ford(Bill Lawton),Russ Davis Ford( Gas Rhonda), and the Harvey Ford (Dyno Don Nicholson)Mustangs. These cars can be done as with the stock drag racer bodies before the 2 percent alteration to the wheelwells( moved forward). Also tool up/clone the 68 Shelby Cammer ( SOHC?) for these releases! Please fell free to add to this or correct where wrong. Thank you!
  19. "Bad to the Bone" By George Thorogood and the Destroyers
  20. I used to go there on a whim. Always find something useful for model building. Now prices for used stuff are the same if not more for a new item.(example is used folk art paint, 1.20 at wall mart 1.99 at goodwill) The good stuff is picked out in my area by Goodwill and put on their auction site.( Brings more $$$$) I have seen and have won some models on the auction site. Prices are fair. Good luck hunting guys!
  21. Mr OBsessive,( Bill G.) can you print it vertically with the body cut off and then filp it 180 degrees and print it( with the opposite end cut off) ? I know this would be a waste of resin but it would give you two incomplete bodies at opposite ends to join? Just thinking out loud.
  22. The Modelhaus ,of course! I have a Modelhaus conversion kit that he did .It was the body sides and interior stuff? and chrome bumpers ( a bargan at today's prices ), and you used the Ranchero for all other parts. I think I paid 20.00 or 25.00 for the conversion kit many years ago from a show in Toledo, Ohio from Don Holthaus. It was the only way at the time I knew I could find and build an affordable kit of this car. But I still haven't built it to this day!!!!!!!!!!LOL( too many projects , not enough time!)
  23. Larry ray -I like the start of the Comet wagon in the background! Is that a Trumpeter Falcon Ranchero combined with a Mobius body?
  24. Kelson, nice build! I like the Fords from the 1960's. The work on this is as clean as it gets! Excellent execution! As Snake says, "Model on!".
  25. Got mine on Friday the 25th of FEB.
