  1. Ok, gentlemen let's get this Hobby Lobby thread back on track! I picked up (2) of the Modified Stocker Race Team (1953 ford truck with car hauler trailer) last week at the 40 percent off .The cost was 52.13 with sales tax included. Look for them at your store, Boys!
  2. dwc43, I think the Plymouth XNR was out before the Mach 5. Who copied whom? LOL
  3. TCoat, welcome! You will fit right in on this forum! went to London, Ontario for a hockey tournament in 1973-74. Got our butts whipped by the Canadian farm boys 10-1. We were outnumbered! out-hustled and those boys were strong and tall! I was tripped and fell and snapped my Callar bone(ouch!). A great learning experience! You have excellent modeling skills!
  4. Ray, sorry for the loss of your girlfriend! We all are sending our condolences to you here from the USA! God bless you! Take care and don't give up! Take time to grieve!
  5. The1/25th Amt 1934 ford pickup has one in it. The block and engine are all chrome in the older issues of this release (Street rod series, Hillbilly tow truck)
  6. Sorry to hear of your loss. You are in my daily prayers.
  7. Saw the 3-d printed Powell pickup on the Johan table at the DAAM show last Sunday. Okey was there. He said the real 1/1 truck was on a 1948 Plymouth chassis(he accidently said 41!). He said he was awaiting approval from whoever owns the rights to the Powell name for a licensing OK. He had an E-mail list to sign up when it would be available. No price yet, just the promotional hype right now. He sounded like it is going to happen though! When I get notified on this, I'll let you gentlemen know the price! Vintage Truck magazine did an article on a1/1 Powell pickup a while ago!
  8. Thanks, Tim for heads up on the magazines. When I got there at 730AM Sunday there were about a hundred mags left. In that pile was Model Cars mag no 1 vol 1. Thanks for the heads up! also thank Steve Perry for the delivery of them!
  9. Ace garage guy, I guess Mr. Viruzzz never heard of Amish People!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Slusher, he was practicing " Rolling coal". Diesel pickup drivers do that to Perius drivers out of rudeness. Lots of U-Tube videos on this.
  11. Sledsel, the only way to keep your mind going and without pain, is to model! It is your therapy. You have to design, make decisions, problem solve, compromise on ideas, etc. Don't give up now, the best is yet to come! Also, you suffered a loss of Physical functions and income. Time to take that to court with a good Lawyer, Just as CL Sell says! You are in my prayers for a full recovery!
  12. They are a Model Company for the Modeler. They used to own MegaHobby and sold that at a profit, after building the business up to selling 1000+ orders a day, worldwide! They started Atlantis, purchased old molds from defunct companies, fixed them and started making old kits, new again! I have ordered from them 4 times in the last 2 years. The only problem I had was the short shot parts on the dragster. They shipped replacement parts in 3 days! My model car orders were always received in 3-5 days. Remember you are on West Coast and that probably takes a little longer for shipping. They usually e-mail your order confirmation number immediately after you order from them!
  13. Blacksheep214, I 'LL TAKE A CASE OF THEM! (lol) Seriously, this is someone's fantasy box art by the use of the old Johan emblem/trademark changed into Canadian poncho.com. If it was a real model kit from 1969, there would be no dot-com stuff on the box, and no barcode. Thanks for showing it to us though. Now I'll print this picture & resize the sides to fit an old model kit box. Then I'll glue them to it and take it to our club meeting and put it under other boxes so they can't open it! A good Halloween joke, I guess! LOL
  14. Oldcarfan, I think you went "One toke over the line "with that one!
  15. Vintage Amt, while that might be the right grill , it is in the wrong scale. That kit is closer to 1/16 or 1/20th scale. The part could be scanned and reduced to 1/25th or 1/ 24 scale though.
  16. 1930ford pickup, sounds like they are handling parcels twice? but to ship it back where it came from? Who is making money on this double handling? employees with more overtime? government trucks buying more fuel? truck drivers driving more on the road with less of a load? inefficiecy at it's best!
  17. Pico, I would be interested in one! Keep in mind that Robert Burns of "two many projects"(on Facebook) sells this also. I think according to Mr Obsessive(BILL GEARY) it is just the body and bumpers? If you can 3-d print a nice complete kit and stay in his price range, I think you will have my business! I have 2 magazines from the 1950's with this on the cover if you need any more info on it!
  18. Tom, 2.00 for 1962 Corvair hubcaps is a steal! Are they for trade? Please PM me if they are. Let me know what you are looking for in the message!
  19. Mike c , Just saw a Hot Wheels 1/64th of this Baja bug . Have Texas 3d custom scan the body of the Hot Wheels car, then enlarge it to the size you need in 1/25th or1/24th!
  20. E30 lover(Chang), Beautiful work, I thought I was looking at a Franklin or Danbury Mint Car for a minute. Very fine Quality of work! True art!
  21. The MPC Malco Gasser (1967 mustang)with the wrong front and the 1969 Mr Gasket Mustang both driven by "Ohio" George should be on the list. Although both kits had their shortcomings, they were the only game in town, till Acme did them correctly in 1/18th diecast!
  22. Old car fan, There wasn't a 1968 Mustang Promo. Only 1967 and 1969 from that wheel base. No Shelby promo either.
  23. I got a built kit 1961 Cadillac Johan with one fin broken, complete, also an AMT 1960's Corvair hardtop KIT, no glass or rear bumper, and finally a 1959 PLY Fury X-cell/ Johan Reissued promo no interior, Color is white with a aqua top.
