  1. Uh-oh, looks like some guys are runnin' out of kits to build, or is that buy?
  2. Forget Advil, and take a couple of Vicodin with that 12 pack and you'll feel great!
  3. Nice job on that Coronet Chuck as I just picked one up from somebody's collection three weeks ago and haven't stripped the paint as yet. And of course I just love dem Mopars!
  4. Yes they ARE expensive Harry as a good friend of mine has an older son (30's?) who is into Star Wars big time, and has LOTS of Star Wars figures and vehicles made from Legos. The number of pieces (blocks) that he has used is mind boggling to say the least.
  5. It's good stuff as I use it myself and I'm happy with the results.
  6. I found one of those Waldorf Nomads at a hobby shop a few months back. Of course it was the Danbury Mint version and does it ever look sweet!
  7. Nice job on that Bee, and if you'll notice that the "bee" is facing backwards on the Bee Stripes and it looks that way on all the kits I have also. BTW, if you "pin" your outside mirrors and use Epoxy glue, you'll have a much better chance of them staying on your models. I just love dem Mopars!
  8. I have a Hobby Lobby 'bout 1/2 mile from me and they seem to be doin' good for years now. I sometimes see women spending $100+ often.
  9. I've bought parts from Hart's Parts before and I would do it again.
  10. While I really don't need anymore model car kits, I do patronize my LHS as I was there this week buying more Epoxy to finish a stalled build. I'll also be buyin' some track for the Lionel set that I put around our Christmas tree, and then I enlarge the track layout for a couple of weeks after the tree is taken down. I would hate to see my LHS close, as it's only 10 miles away and the next one is 'bout 50 miles away. I also get to the farthest hobby shop when I'm in the area for a model car club meeting. If you don't support your LHS, don't cry when they're gone.
  11. Awesome photos Ed as they are called "money shots." Thanks.
  12. It's a beauty for sure.
  13. I find that the SEM interior colors work great on plastic.
  14. We had a huge "gasser meet" this past July and I know one of the driver/owners from Eastern Pennsylvania and asked him 'bout it. Sure the earlier gassers were required to have TWO seats, but this driver says the rules have eased up a bit and ONE seat is okay. I usually build my gassers models to represent the gassers of the mid-60's and always install two seats.
  15. I really don't know what you're after by "saddle tan" however I often use SEM Color Coat #15093 Light Buckskin for interiors and it looks great. I bought this from Eastwood who offers restoration supplies for 1:1 cars.
  16. I use Micro Sol & Micro Set and I'm happy with these products.
  17. A lot of companies "missed the boat" on some things or others, not just Kodak.
  18. Your project is lookin' great Bill. Why are you choosing the AMT body over the new Revell body? Thanks.
  19. For that aluminum look on wheels, blowers, front bumpers, Moon tanks, I use Testors Dull-Cote spray and it seems to work pretty good. Try it!
  20. Welcome back Joe, and a great job on that A roadster also.
  21. That Pontiac is gonna be a great seller as I know lots of people waiting for them. I however am not as I still hope to finish my '62 Catalina someday and I have way too many kits to build already. I'm gonna snag one of those Comet kits, and of course the Revell Ranchero kit whenever they announce and release it.
  22. May John R.I.P. and condolences to his family for the loss of another fine modeler and "car guy."
  23. I remember a camera store back in the 50's that had a hobby department, yes back-in-the-day on Division Street in Chicago.
  24. Thanks for the pics Ken. Glad you had a great time.
  25. You really should've gone to Toledo Chris, as it is a great show. I've been there several times in the past and always had a good time.
