Favorite police procedural/crime dramas
peter31a replied to Rob Hall's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Would Adam-12 and Dragnet qualify? Because they were among my favourites and they were about police work not all the useless interpersonal drama all these other shows have these days. -
Thanks for showing your case set up with paint in it.

David, show it to us once you have it set up. Interested to see how it looks loaded up.
-
Looking forward to it. Growing into a great show.

Seconding the congrats on winning the Foose theme award at NNL East. Well deserved. -
My issue of 205 finally showed up Friday. So happy and great issue. I see myself 3 times in the GSL coverage.

NNL East - - April 21st - - Are you going..???
peter31a replied to Ramfins59's topic in Contests and Shows
Sorry we won't be seeing you there, Brian. Maybe next year. -
Well, I've pretty much given up hope of seeing issue #205. Other people in our province received theirs around March 21st. Here we are almost a month later and no magazine so I guess someone in the post office really likes MCM.

Positives to come from the Revell Deal?
peter31a replied to GMP440's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I don't necessarily have the pitchfork out for the germans but I agree with James as he said in his video that they were after Revell Germany and since the price was so low, they took the whole package. To me they did not want the extra expense so let's close down Revell USA as quick as we can (as in even before the deal is finalized). No waiting to have the deal finalized and then review what we have and then determine who stays and who goes. I agree we'll have to see what happens, hopefully, something good but it's a funny way to show you're at all interested in the North American market. -

That's true, Jonathan, the ink hasn't dried yet and sale isn't final yet but they went and shut down Revell USA without even waiting for dry ink or finalized sale. To me that's what they care about the North American market..... Not at all.... -
25 Oldsmobile Roadster - finished ( or nearly!)
peter31a replied to alan barton's topic in Model Cars
Very sharp! Love seeing this era of car being built up as she may have been in the day. Kudos! -
Shorts and flip flops in Alberta? We got a good 6" of snow today. Spent an hour out with the snowblower. Of course for me it has to be 24 degrees before I would worry about shorts or sandals. ?

David, unfortunately there is no "best choice". An airbrush is like any tool. It's what you get comfortable with. A lot of people over time end up with 2 or more airbrushes depending on what they're using them for, what they find comfortable to use etc. Some like the front trigger styles while others like the top control. People do great work with a Paasche H which is a simple single action suction airbrush. Others prefer the more complicated but more versatile gravity feed double action brushes. Suction feeds need slightly more air pressure to draw up the paint. If you're just starting a Paasche H would be a great place to start and guys like Donn Yost & Doctor Cranky still use them in their work.

Apparently Friday the 13th was a bad omen! ?Sad for the Revell USA employees . Terminated with no notice so it would seem. -
Looking forward to as usual. Always a great time. Day goes by really quick between shopping, talking to folks and admiring and taking pictures of as many of the great models as I can.

That's what I thought. I remembered that Chevy sedan as having a bad engine or something and that's why he eventually ended up with the convertible.

I can still see Lumpy drumming on his steering wheel going zooma zooma zooma.... Didn't Wally end up with a ratty 53 or 54 Chevy convertible?
