  1. Very cool little kit to have available especially with the Hyper Pak.
  2. Very cool! Nice save on that old kit.
  3. Not in kit form but it is available in a resin body.
  4. Moebius was at NNL East showing the upcoming releases but I did not get a chance to ask about whether they knew release dates yet or not. They showed the Nova as well as the sixties Ford pickups.
  5. It would make a great Batmobile. I have to wonder how aerodynamic those projections (front fenders?) are. Seems to me they would cause drag (which may be the point of them). Doubt they would pass the safety gurus here in North America.
  6. Promos were assembled models given out by auto dealerships when you came into the showroom to help promote car sales. Later on the model companies started offering the promos in kit form for people to build themselves. I'm sure someone else will give a clearer explanation.
  7. I understand what you're saying but years ago Revell tried the tuner thing with nicely done Ford Focus, Acura Integra and Honda Civic. I don't believe they sold that well. Enough so to discourage putting more money into such types of kits again. So do you put your money where you know there is a demand or into something you hope might bring people in but you loose big time if they don't sell? It's a difficult call. It seems to work well for the Asian manufacturers as the hobby is alive and well in other continents but just not, it seems, in North America.
  8. While Internet Hobbies is taking a hit as scamming people, I've seen at least one other model seller on Facebook claiming that this is true information.
  9. I'm pretty sure I missed some vendors. Used to Barrie layout. This layout had vendors this way and that and around corners. Thought I caught everyone but I may have forgotten to go back to the opposite side of the entrance.
  10. Beautiful (dirty) build, Paul. Kudos!
  11. Ironically the only Podcasts I listen to are the ones that make it to YouTube like Kibbe & Finnegan (Finnegan from Roadkill) & Motorweek podcast. Don't know where they originate from but I watch them when they hit the Tube.
  12. The only ones I've purchased "just in case" are 2 Chase Elliott Chevy SS Nascar kits as I bought aftermarket decals without having the kits in hand. Figured I should make sure I get them on hand just in case. Anything else, well, like so many are fond of saying, plenty of kits in my stash.
  13. Wow! I missed that Johan kit. Was the vendor for that one in the building? Pretty much the only place I remember seeing models.
  14. Bill, there are 2 MCW's. Dave Dodge started off selling paint and then got into the resin business. He eventually sold off the paint business. I believe the one in Ohio is the new owner of the paint side and Dave is in N.C. selling resin.
  15. I have to agree, Jonathan. I figured people would be saying it can only get better but if someone who doesn't get NASCAR gets theirs hands on it it could definitely be Be careful fo what you wish for.
  16. No, not going to speculate. My hope is that, shortly after the confirmation of the sale tomorrow, the new owners make some sort of statement of their plans for Revell USA and what they are doing moving forward.
  17. Yes, my 31 Town sedan was built in April 1931 and probably just missed being built with the indented firewall. They introduced the Indented firewall in April 31 and slowly converted all plants over to using it. Being a Canadian car it was likely closer to May before our Ford plants got it.
  18. It was a feature on later 31 Model A's. Indented firewall. The gas shut off valve moved into this indentation from where it used to be inside the car.
  19. I picked up one of the Rampside kits from Okey Spaulding at NNL East. It's a beautiful piece of work and Mike is to be commended for it. I look forward to what other items he produces after his move.
  20. Back in my younger years I had an 81Ford Courier and an 86 Mazda B2000. Both were great little trucks and all I needed for what I do around the house here. Would not be able to justify driving around in a full size truck for all the times I would need it.
  21. Honda is also developing hydrogen vehicles. I believe a Honda Clarity hydrogen powered car is already on sale in California as well. To me this is the way to go not all these electric cars.
  22. Would Adam-12 and Dragnet qualify? Because they were among my favourites and they were about police work not all the useless interpersonal drama all these other shows have these days.
  23. Thanks for showing your case set up with paint in it.
  24. David, show it to us once you have it set up. Interested to see how it looks loaded up.
  25. And it's governments pushing the self driving car nonsense. Even Consumer Reports (the purveyors of the nanny state) are telling the state and federal governments to slow down on the push for autonomous cars as the technology isn't ready for prime time yet.
