  1. Truck looks good, Dan. Wish I could share the no snow part. Fed up of that stuff after a week and a half of it.
  2. Nick, that is a beautiful unrestored Willys. Thanks for sharing those pictures.
  3. Wow! That's a beauty, Tulio. I can't believe I took my drivers test in a monster like that. A friend once likened driving the Country Squire to trying to pilot the U.S.S. Enterprise.
  4. Welcome to the forum, Glenn. Lots of great models and info here.
  5. No, Dave Dodge still has the resin business.
  6. Very nice. Really like the colour.
  7. A friend of mine (who was best man at my wedding) had a 78 Malibu 4 door silver and black with a red and grey interior. He did not take very good care of it. It was to be lead car in our wedding and I borrowed it for a day so that I could buff the paint as it was so oxidized. A couple of years later he was having trouble with it, brought it to the garage. They tried to do an oil change but it came out thicker than molasses because he hadn't bothered to do an oil change in about 3 or 4 years. Poor car. I would love to have that car now as a collector car as I always thought it looked so sharp.
  8. From the front it almost gives off a Tesla vibe.
  9. Michael, I checked the one I bought and it has the chrome. I bought mine from one of the new kit dealers.
  10. Thanks for mentioning this Michael. I'll have to open the FD100 I got at that show and check it.
  11. The 37% being "too busy" is bogus in my opinion. It's more like they're too lazy or they're part of the 31% crowd getting other people to drive them around so they don't have to be bothered. It was my generation of baby boomers that started this by driving their kids everywhere so that they just thought that's how life is and other people drive you around. And that's filtering down to the generations after that. They'd rather fly all over the world to "experience" things and not worry about having their own transportation. I'd rather have the freedom to go anywhere on this continent at a moments notice because I can drive there in my own car.
  12. Thanks for that information, Craig. A stock height top would be cool. I'll have to look into that.
  13. I don't know and hopefully someone else will chime in but I wonder if it's discontinued because Revell brought the 30 coupe kit out?
  14. Welcome to the forum, Jack. Hope you enjoy your time here.
  15. Just read elsewhere that Round 2 will be at this show. They will have their latest exclusive kit available. I know that this does not matter to a lot of people but if you're the type that likes this sort of thing...well, now you know.
  16. Wow, Bill! That is very cool. Great of your friend to remember and grab that scope for you. Look forward to seeing that totally soldered chassis.
  17. Saw a double rainbow today. That was pretty cool.
  18. Weolcme back to the model cars forum, Tony.
  19. Alwyas great to see a stock Model A built up. Nice job.
  20. Looking forward to the show! Hope the weather cooperates.
  21. Thanks for doing this Dave. Glad you are out there trying to make sure the board (or mechanics thereof) works properly. Hoping it will perk things up. Because when I count to 1030 (as 1001, 1002, 1003 etc) and a topic still hasn't come up I leave the site and come back with fingers crossed later.
  22. And if you are buying gloves (latex or nitrile) that will be handling a model be sure to go with the non-powdered type otherwise there will be a trail of powder and you'll be cursing.
  23. Looking forward to the show. Will be vending for the first time. Now, to figure out what I'm willing to part with.
  24. Erico, going to the contest on Saturday?
  25. Cale, There's quite a few of us but I don't think the board sort by Nationlaity so it's hard to say how many.
