  1. This story really was heart warming. Nice to see some good news these days. https://www.newsweek.com/instagram-cats-kittens-stray-ambushed-bathes-video-update-1714668
  2. I have to agree that telling people about problems after they have run into them isn't very useful. I had never heard about the engine height issue. It would have been more useful info if the op was warned earlier. Some of the other issues had already been discovered. The point of sharing info is to help others deal with it.
  3. I can image the chaos this was. Suprised it didn't turn into a riot. https://news.yahoo.com/gas-station-california-turned-circus-155126416.html
  4. Besides the hemi in the Miss Deal kit the revell hemi hydro also had a hemi.
  5. Hope you reconsider. Please don't deprive everyone else of what you are doing. I have been enjoying this build.
  6. Glad you got it fixed rather than stuck in a box. Nicely done.
  7. For anyone who still doubts this kit can produce a nice looking model with reasonable effort check out this stunning build.
  8. A stunning model. Super clean work. Plus from your build plan shows that you didn't need to spend lots of time to build it.
  9. I agree tv/movie and collectibles(ie coke) are a different market. Race cars have a world wide market. However many factory stock cars(imperial for example) such as a factory stock Imperial simply has a limited world wide appeal.
  10. Sorry I completely disagree with you. You are making broad generalizations that are comparing apples and oranges. I doubt the market for a stock imperial is close to the interest in race cars.
  11. Had to laugh this really pokes fun at some of the endless obits that clutter up the board. Glad I can can filter them out for the things I come to the board to view.
  12. Although its not a kit I'm interested in I hope it is a success. Think the curbside fits the intended audience. However there are many cars that would have to be a full glue kit and honestly I don't think its going to work in many cases. For example I don't think a a Tucker curbside would have that much appeal. In the current market I think multiple versions are the only way to make the full glue kits work economically.
  13. Never mix different brands of paints. Definitely a waste of time and paint. A brand and type is called a paint system.
  14. Didn't please me but gave me a chuckle. In my spam folder I had a email from "Westan Unionr". You know if you're going to send phishing emails spelling does count.
  15. Nicely done. With a reasonable amount of effort you got a nice shelf model
  16. Great start. Nice to see the build process. Going to be another stunning model.
  17. Another possible solution would be to use the thinner for the paint used and say cotton balls to strip the paint.
  18. It make sense about the iconizing for some things. Can you image how big that sign would have to be if it encompassed multiple languages.
  19. There are holidays for parties and there are holidays that should be a day of reflection. Veterans day and Memorial day are for reflection and gratitude to those have sacrificed for our freedoms. Unfortunately all holidays have become the focus of endless sales and just another day off work.
  20. I agree on the tracking of everything you buy if cashless. Particularly when that information can determine the cost of say health insurance because you've bought too many unhealthy items. Note that they can't outright refuse cash as its legal tender however the trend I'm seeing is they are working hard at making cash usage as inconvenient as possible.
  21. Its a store called Raleys. The problem is they have a rewards program and it always confuses some because it asks for the reward card number and its not clear how to move forward. I typically don't use self check but I had a couple of items and those were 2 people in the line with the clerk and a spot was open in self check. The other problem is that there is a trend to phase out cash as a payment option. The stores would rather pay the transaction fees than deal with the cash.
  22. Went to grocery store to pick up some items. Irk 1) self checkout is card only no cash taken Irk 2)had to go to checkstand with clerk and endure two people with trouble paying with card and dismally slow Irk3) I had a close approximation of cost to make sure I wouldn't exceed the cash I had . Get items rung up and price is more than I thought. Get receipt and one item was suppose to ring up as 3/$5 instead it rings as 2/$5. Isn't it interesting how the mistakes are alway a in the stores favor of the store. Goto shelf and take picture of tag. Back to line and more people that are slow paying with card. Finally get 83 cent refund. How many people don't notice they are being overcharged? Definitely an exercise in frustration.
