  1. Drove the 150 miles up to Puyallup Washington to do the Goodguys Show. Sunday is wind down day, so a lot of cars that were there Saturday did not show again. There still were quite a few cars and I took a few photos. Also entered some models in the contest and came home with these: Here is a link to the album of photos I took https://www.flickr.com/photos/142581265@N08/albums/72177720300820778
  2. Beats me. I would hate to judge any class that I felt I had some competency. And how Best of Show is chosen?
  3. Best in Show was the Mercedes 500K Special Roadster https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjzYThi
  4. I'd have to double check, but could be the Foose Cadillac
  5. I know, but this color scheme seemed to best fit. Especially when the Bronze I tried came out way too dark brown with the clearcoat.
  6. Now that we are back from our trip east, I pulled out the El Camino and got back at it. I applied a clear coat, a few Gofer Gold Pinstripe decals for accent and a light covering clear coat over that. Will let cure and then heavy clear coat for sanding polishing. On the interior, I toyed with several two tones and settled on a dark yellow with white. It fits the color scheme. I applied a dark tan carpeting plus painted the dash body color. The dash will be glued to the interior after detailing and fitment. More detail yet to come.
  7. Now that we're back from our trip, I am getting back at this. Stripped and primed before we left. Applied the base coat, Cobra Colors Rosso Fiorano to the body. Applied the base color to the interior, Zero paints Ferrari Beige
  8. It is our downtown. We're wedged between Vancouver WA and Washougal WA on the Columbia where the Washougal River empties into it. Only 26,000 population, but metro area is over 2 million (we're considered part of Portland Metro Area).
  9. Our city has its first summer car show since 2019. Albeit about 15 degrees above average temperature this time of year, the day was beautiful. Use the link to get to the album https://www.flickr.com/photos/142581265@N08/albums/72177720300108192
  10. Portland area - Tammies Hobbies in Beaverton Seattle area - Skyway Model Shop
  11. I ordered back on February 21 and there was a backlog due to a large number of orders. Shipped 5/13. Arrived here 5/31 but we were away on a trip, and it sat at the PO until today. He was quite up front about it and I've no problems on previous orders either. You can always message him and get an estimate.
  12. Well, this arrived the day we left on our trip. We just picked up at the Post Office an hour ago.
  13. Assuming you are NOT referencing specifc fire/rescue decal sets, then for PE, you have this as an option: https://detailjunkees.bigcartel.com/product/70-s-chevy-van Decals: https://rayskits.com/product/chevy-gmc-emblem-set-large/
  14. I got the dually parts from Scenes Unlimited plus HD bumpers for an eventual build
  15. I have a bit of an easier time to get mine underway
  16. I wipe off with Hardware Store Lacquer Thinner. No immersions and no puddling. Tedious, but does work. Have it back in primer ready to paint.
  17. Revell 6 Nova kits thus far. The Yenko and COPO are big block and the SS has the small block.
  18. These are the closest I've seen to those
  19. Would definitely want a good air current across the workspace and probably a mask. Vapors from that would not be healthy. I have a tool with multiple tips including something that is like a Number 11 Xacto blade to use in working plastic. That stank when used and seemed hotter than the 97 degrees he referenced. Need to dig it out when back from our trip
  20. C1 Models is coming up with a bunch of goodies for the LR including these
  21. Well, I have this (original not recent issue) and this one And the Danbury Mint die cast. So, I think I am set.
  22. Iceman Collections sells a set of 4 that appear similar if not the same
