  1. Thanks for telling me something I already knew before purchasing. I dont care about accuracy when it comes my builds. I also did mention I will be building my version of the General Lee. Thanks, its all good mate. You know how it is on this forum, the know it all's just have to flex the knowledge.
  2. Will be able to build my version of General Lee now.
  3. Another JDM kit with engine parts, this one from Aoshima. Got the 70 1/2 after being inspired by a forum members Lowrider build.
  4. Put me down as another who enjoyed the WIP thread, turned out super smooth and clean. Very impressive.
  5. A few more kits, always on the look out for JDM kits with engines, so had to get the Prelude. Got the Supra just for the decals and the Chevelle for the Donk wheels and engine.
  6. Donor kit for the Hobby Design Varis Supreme Supra.
  7. R.I.P David. Thanks for all that you taught me over the years through the pages of Scale Auto.
  8. Always good to see some thing different built Lowrider style, well done looks very cool and unique.
  9. Thanks mate. Was challenging for sure, still have more work to do to finish it of, then move onto the next task of body prep. Got some new seats for the build today. Not going to use the head rests.
  10. Mega haul today, Japan and US order's arrived same day again, also had Australian BNA Model World order arrive and got some kits from the local Aldi store. Plaza Japan kits that were pre ordered a month ago. The 430 Cedric has some awesome Cragar SS style wheels, Aoshima used them in the old Hot Rod 330 Cedric kit. Model Round Up. Yeah I got another ProShop and more wheels. BNA Model World. And finally got these kits at the local Aldi, amazing to see Revell kits being sold there especially in a small regional town. Now I got to try find room for all this stuff, I really got to stop buying kits.
  11. Im a fan of the DZ's, but not sure about the wide whites. Its your build, so roll with what you like.
  12. Didnt like how short the roof was so glued it back onto wagon piece and added 3mm. Then I messed up the C pillar. So decided to scratch build some B pillars and window surround. Scribed a new door line.
  13. Cheers mate, was very challenging doing the tub detail. So many cool tools out there for modelling nowadays. Thanks, the scribers are very good and worth the money. Thank you, see the latest update. Yeah the wheels are cool, I really like centreline style wheels Thanks, C'mon Bill dont go creating more work for me. LOL! The sides were way challenging. I did think about doing the tops of the wheel tubs but decided to keep them smooth. Thanks. More work than I first thought, but its getting there.
  14. Cool looking Hakosuka, Like the colour with the blacked out wheels. Got an aggressive racer look sitting low with that rear wing.
  15. Another tidy build, nice and low. Can see your efforts paid of to get it to look like that. Done well.
  16. Nah mate, modern alternative use a silver sharpie ?
  17. The instruction manuals is one of the best ive seen, the 3D format is great. Did you use the kits supplied tyres on both sets of wheels ?? Those 20 inch Bazreia's certainly look good and fill out the guards. Liking the VXS-210's that bit more though.
  18. So this was the first model I built way back when, I cant remember what year. But if I had to guess id say about 20+ years ago. Some how I managed to save the box lid. Been kept in a display case, so its still clean and tidy. Built box stock, but a mate gave me the wheels for it. Paint is Tamiya TS-24 purple Many years after it was built ,I scratch built a trailer and I needed a tow vehicle. So I chose this build and scratch built a tow hitch. Other than that it has remained the same as when it was built. I bought this kit a few years ago with the intention of building the same model again. And seeing this community thread come up is the perfect time to get it done. My plan has been to also go with centreline wheels again, but this time round il use Pegasus CL's. Will determine what size will be used when I do first mock. So thats what my build will be. Cant wait, going to be alot of fun.
  19. As others have said, good to see you show the pics again. Its keeps this place interesting when members bring and show something different. Done well making a race car look like a tidy tuned street car. Nice colour choice, wheels suit the car well and its just how I like a build, low ! Look forward to seeing what else you build.
  20. Good to place to start, engine is looking the part so far. Interested to see what it takes to lower this kit. Hope you can share some pics to show the process.
  21. I think deadlines can be good motivation, end of the year would be plenty of time for me. But maybe make it 6 months for people that dont have alot of spare time.
  22. Great idea, id be happy to join in if you can get a community build up and running.
  23. Liking the idea, look forward to seeing build progress.
  24. Order from BNA Model World. Display cases and some detail up parts from Hobby design.
  25. Have wanted a 76 glasshouse for years but never been able to find one, got lucky and found a couple recently. Also got some more things from Plaza Japan. My LB Works R35 GT-R collection is complete now. And can never resist getting more wheels to add to the collection.
