  1. Oh my apologies for entering the discussion asking to hear and see how the product performs for the OP. Some times actions showing results are better than words.
  2. Last time I checked this topic was about AK Super chrome, how it works and looks. But as per usual it goes into semantics which are pretty much common knowledge. And still waiting for the OP to show an example of his own experience with said product.
  3. Done well, good to see someone else building these Aoshima kits
  4. Some products from Texas 3D Customs, very impressed with the high quality of the prints. All 1:24. Supercharged Chev 572 Ford Boss 302 Ford GT350 5.2L Toyota 2JZ-GTE, single turbo top mount Nissan RB26 HKS, single turbo top mount, manual gear box, rear wheel drive. Twin turbo set up was included by mistake, it is not an optional part when ordering the single turbo engine set. Weld Draglites
  5. Shout out and thanks to Charlie. Received an order today. Excellent packaging and very happy with the contents. 100% agree with Erik's statements about the high quality of Texas 3D Customs products. I will be a return customer for sure. I purchased engines and a set of wheels. All 1:24. Really like how support attachment points are placed in discrete locations and are minute in size and will be super easy to clean up. 6. Interesting to see another chrome paint come to the market. To me this sounds like the Gundam Marker XGM 100 chrome where no black base or primer is needed. Very interested in seeing your test results. Durability will determine how good it is, followed by the reflectivity. Test on some actual parts, anyone can paint a spoon and have it look good. Thanks for sharing.
  7. Good to see you decided to stick around Steve, look forward to seeing a build thread for the Bonne rag top. Im sure many other members would appreciate seeing it too.
  8. 3D printed aftermarket parts are a game changer for the hobby, possibilities are truly endless nowadays
  9. Again couldnt wait any longer and had to do a paint mock of the Nova Gasser. Will be the last pic's of this build until it goes under glass in a week or two.
  10. Really enjoy your build threads since you started using the 3D printer, very impressive to see how you are designing and incorporating the 3D printed components. Amazing to see where the current state of the hobby is at with the use of modern technology.
  11. For a second thought I wouldnt be able to post pics anymore, as my dog ate the memory card, thankfully I remembered I had a couple spare cards. LOL! Cant wait and had to do a couple paint mocks. Started to do some prep work on the LBWK Huracan, man the mould line that ran right along the edge of the front over fenders was tricky to sand and remove. Also usual process of scribing the door lines etc. More prep sanding still required. Had seen a couple builds on YouTube, where the rivets on the over fenders were enhanced with metal pieces. A fellow out of Taiwan called MODEL KID, I think he used insect pins. And Scalemodeling out of Netherlands he used Top Studio rivets. So I liked the idea and wanted to apply it to my build and was lucky to get some rivets from BNA Model World here in Australia. Blows my mind how they even make these things. Using a new blade sliced all the heads off the molded in rivets, and drilled holes with a .45mm. Went over size on the holes to allow for paint thickness.
  12. Yeah it would be a change from discussion and commentary!! You did mention something about trying to complete a series, so I thought you might be collecting. If I may ask, what stops you from posting a build, you have been a member here for 8 years and ive yet to see a car build (wip or complete) from you. I thought one of the reasons for participaiting here was to discuss and share our builds, and of course also discuss all other aspects of the model car hobby.
  13. Applied some clear to the Nova Gasser body. Used Mr Color GX-100 Super Clear III. Thinned 1:1.5 with MLT, sprayed through a Iwata HP-TH with the fan cap @ 32psi Always the way, spoon comes out slick. Bit of peel on the body, need to wait and see how much it shrinks back. More than likely will have to wet sand and polish. Either way the GX-100 is a high gloss clear thats for sure. 2 medium wet coats, 1 heavy wet coat. Here is a minute of your life you will never get back. Tried to show the colour a bit better. Also got the interior finished
  14. So is this for the collection or are you actually going to build something for a change LOL!
  15. Figured I have a couple kits of the Liberty Walk Huracan in the stash, so decided to get the stock version. Had no idea the kit comes with 4 sets of wheels, so that was a bonus to me.
  16. Used this black. Was going to use XF-1 flat black, but used that for the carpet. Also thought of using TS-6 but thats not flat enough. So Nato it was for something different.
  17. Started assembly of the interior, once the clear is dry on the dash I can finish it.
  18. Now that I have dialed in using the airbrush to apply the colour shift pearls I can start one of these builds.
  19. Adjusted the front wheel postion on the Mercury Comet, moved forward 1mm. Now thats sorted I can progress with the build again.
  20. This one on the Nova. This one on the 4dr Nissan Skyline. And this one on the LB Works Laurel.
  21. Im not a Gasser fan at all either, but this Moebius kit is way cool and alot of fun to build. The engine is the best feature and what got me interested in the kit. Yes mate, Nova is colour shift. Edited the post and added some pics to show what colour is on each build. Hard to capture the true effect in pics.
