Those tail lamp lenses ! The separate back-up lamp lenses -- fluting and all -- look GREAT ! -
Seriously???!!!!!!

The Ghost of Old Man Palmer is alive and well and is now offering 3-D printing blueprints . -
Dodge avoided paying licensing on the 1970 Challenger T/A by employing the acronym . Acronyms and numbers cannot be copyrighted .

Looks great to me ! How are you going to address the climate control panel that's directly-above the radio ; the recessed-area on the upper-dash ?

Thanks much ! He enjoys having his picture taken . That last image : he's laid-out perfectly-flat ! He does that frequently ; never seen another cat do that ( except for my cousin's Red Tabby 'Kevin' -- he does the same thing , curled-up toes and all ! ) .

Any news of Revell do something this year !
1972coronet replied to Mr mopar's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I agree -- the Street Rat version is nicer , IMO . I haven't touched one of those old Monogram '66 Chevelle kits in over 30 years... I'll have to get one this time around ( and ditch the wheels and tyres for better pieces ) . -
Very good ! One of my favourite films ever . The colour on the Valiants ( 3 cars were used for the film : 1970 with the 5.2 litre V8 ; 1971 with slant Six , and ; 1972 with Slant Six ) is FE5 Rallye Red . The other colour mentioned is EV2 Tor-Red which is what Dodge named Hemi Orange . Certainly , the 1971 paint chip chart is a poor representation of the *actual* colours : The 1970 Hamtramck Registry - 1971 Paint Chip Charts Slideshow (hamtramck-historical.com)

Chip Foose kits.....

Funniest thing I've read today ! HAHAHAHA ! How about some billet flames , monochromatic paint (maybe a a spank of 'Lipstick' stripes ) , and f'ugly wheels while we're at it . -
IIRC , the original Charlie Allen Dart was his 1969 F/C ( first of the L.A. Dart in-nomenclature , vs. the previous Atlantic Dodge sponsored cars ** ) . The 1970 iteration was Wild Bill Shrewsberry's Saddleback Dodge sponsored Exhibition car before becoming the c.1983 Hemi Hunter . I'm not sure if the phantom 1970 Ramchargers Dart came before or after the Shrewsberry car. ** Atlantic Dodge changed names and - or ownership in c.1971 , becoming East Los Angeles Dodge ( 657 S. Atlantic , East L.A. ) .

Another vote for Fireball parts . Absolutely top notch items ! Another route -- albeit , out-of-production-- for the hub caps are the Missing Link hub caps . Check eBay . -
Tæo A/K/A "Barney the Barn Cat" , 05/08/2021 & 06/08/2021 . I can't believe that I've had this bratty love bug for 11 months already ! He's grown so much over the last 11 months ; now he's in his "teen years" . He'll be fully-grown by end-of-the-year .

August 2021 Round 2 Product Spotlight
1972coronet replied to GMP440's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I like its simplicity -- and perhaps more so the promo callouts on the frame / chassis / suspension -- but I still can't see myself paying the asking price because of what's not included ( i.e. , no custom options for wheels / tyres ) . I almost had a coronary event when I saw how much the Cal Drag Combo is retailing for ! In reality , however , that set seems like it's worth the price : three kits for ~ 50$ is better than ~30$ for one . -
Haha . I know that it was a Harry Bradley special -- but it makes me wonder if he mistakenly signed Barris' design work ? Hahahaha !
-
Bondo with Pb .
-
I agree ! That thing is an em-Barris-ment ! WoOf ! I wonder if the kit comes with a tub of Bondo for that authentic feel ? Maybe this release is -- aside from a minor investment insofar as production -- a "one last run of fun" ? Perhaps if it sells well enough , a newly-tooled STOCK Toronado will follow ?

August 2021 Round 2 Product Spotlight
1972coronet replied to GMP440's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Exactly . Now , I can 'excuse' the 1963 Nova Wagon as far as its retail price , as a new body was tooled and stock parts restored or newly tooled . However , the Galaxie is "just" a repop ; its low parts count doesn't justify its asking price . Yes , I will stand corrected if the '64 Galaxie is a restored tooling . I'm definitely not knocking the Galaxie -- it's a sweet kit in its own right -- but , yeah , way too much money being asked for it . The Dodge Van looks cool . Certainly , it's long in the tooth ( dating-back to late 1971 in origin ! ) , but is a fun kit ne'er-the-less . I'd bet that Round2 would sell a lot more Dodge B-Vans if they tooled a new body ( the 1972-1977 model years , please ) which includes side window options . Employ the engine / auto trans combo from the 1980 Volare , too ( though any parts box engine / trans would be fine for most , too . ) . -
Thanks much for your reply , Hans . Flemish is an interesting , regional dialect . ☺️
-
I agree with you regarding the curbside / promo-style of the Galaxie . I've come to appreciate the less-parts-content kits of yore ( the 1963 Nova Wagon , and the 1964 Olds F-85 / Cutlass , for example ) . Further , I like the promo-based car feature callouts on the Galaxie's chassis ! For decades , no one wanted that -- now that artifact is being embraced .

That is quite nice ! A fitting tribute for certain . This I must inquire : I recognise that the text is in the English language -- is that same accompanying text also scribed in other languages ? Just curious is all . Thank you much !

1960s GMC Cabover
1972coronet replied to 1st 700 Quad's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Potentially silly --albeit , related-- question : What happened to Rookie Resins ? He made some awesome Jimmy items ! Apparently , I'd waited for too long to purchase one of his GMC V6 engines... -
Back in the 90's , some of the Jo-Han kits were released under the Testors banner ; those kits were : - 1969 AMX Pro Stock - 1969 Rambler 'Pro Street' - 1971 Comet Pro Stock - 1971 Barracuda Pro Stock Keep your eyes open for those as well . Sometimes you'll find a seller whom doesn't know the kits' values under the Testors name , and you can find a deal compared to a Jo-Han release .
