More bubblegum than the underside of a classroom desk.

Thank you for providing a caring and loving home for that love bug for his brief time in the physical realm. I'm sure that me Molly Anne (2002-2019) and Oliver Sabastian (2003-2020) and countless others will greet his Spirit. (is that your son, grandson, nephew,...?, in those photos? Just curious -- looks like he really loved and cherished your feline)

I didn't know that they were, in es, one-in-the-same. Certainly I'm not alone in 'knowing' that a stock 1972-1974 Challenger will not be released/reissued/cloned, as the 1970-1971 is the one which most desire. Someday I'm going to build a replica of the "airport" Challenger from Gone in 60 Seconds! [1974]. Thanks for the update on the Challenger tooling.

I didn't realise that Holiday meant hardtop. Thank you for the new-to-me info. I was under the impression --my own 'conclusion-- that this was going to be a pillared coupe (framed door and quarter glass; vent windows). Perhaps wishful thinking on my part? Haha.

I thought it was supposed to be a Holiday Coupe (?). That's a hardtop... Not complaining, just an observation. I hope that it's a great one!

How awesome would THAT be! The MPC Challenger (note: the original E-Body, not the LX-Body-based car of recent) hasn't seen the light of day in eons. Its moulds must still exist -- last time it was issued was, when, 1977? Definitely 1974 (annual); not sure what year the Landy P/S kit was issued.

Did the original Barris kits include a can of Bondo for that authentic finish?

HB1 Sky Blue certainly is a nice shade. Just a couple of shades lighter than TB3 Basin Street Blue (colloq., "Petty Blue"), which has its origins dating to 1962. The flat bonnet says Barracuda, but the dual exhaust say, Three-forty or three-sixty. I've seen exactly one Barracuda with the E58 360 (BH23L4B). According to Hamtramck Historical, the scooped hood was part of the 340 [1973] or 360 [1974], regardless of it not being a 'Cuda (BS23). It's a fun kit, albeit long in the tooth. It's essentially an unassembled promo (thick metal axles; screws for chassis; everything moulded-in). I would like to see its return.

I've been playing around with the idea of bashing the MPC Hemi Hunter [et al.] clips with the Revell 1968 Dart GTS. Truthishly, I have the patience of a parrot who's been fed some Black Beauties and taught some colourful words (i.e., typical Celt here). Thank you for the suggestion ne'er-the-less. That Bandit 1971 Scamp does look like a nice piece (1972 side marker lamps on the rear not-with-standing). I've had me eyes on it for, what, ten years? I'm keen on a 383-powered Scamp, after-all.

Looks like a wonderful representation of a '63 Split -- GREAT WORK on that bad boy! Hard to beat white with red interior on just about any year 'Vette. I hope that the member who posted the "Junk" thread sees your build, and hopefully they'll build themselves a sweet shelf kit.

What would YOU like to see as a model

A touch on the bulky side -- doesn't hold a candle to a styrene kit. But, regardless of that assessment: iconic car... iconic film... why not a kit? Better than die cast stuff with bank vault door hinges and too-thick door frames. -
1/25 Revell SnapTite Taxi/Fire Chief Chevy Caprice

Would be nice if Revell were to update their 1991-1994 B-body to a true 9C1 & 9C3 of 1993-1994 / 1995-1996 vintage.- 32 replies

[E]F8 is a wonderful colour, especially when the natural light hits it. Looks like a matching interior is in the works, too (what kind of clear are you planning for the 'vinyl' areas?) Keep up the great work!

I enjoy taking photos of cats (imagine that!) and of urban decay. Since many have seen my photos of felines, I wish to present a few from my other collection. Most of them I "can't" exhibit here; others are for an exercise in contrasts (e.g., bright green weed against bright red curb).

In my experience with this kit, it's the part of the windscreen which is mounted under the cowl which is the offender. Sand the poop out of it until it's tissue-thin; this'll free up space for the dashboard. I'm liking the colour combo. At first I thought that you were using the interior tub from the old MPC 1971 Charger annual kit (which is moulded in orange), then I remembered that one of the latest issues of this kit is moulded in that colour. Oh, and another item interference to be mindful of: the driveshaft is too long. I've always trimmed the 'shaft at the rear universal joints, just a smidge.

I like the 'constipated cheetah' front facia that the newer crop of "out-of-the-box" designers are employing these days: -

The rendition of the terlit resembles the robot from Rocky IV. -
I agree completely. This Supra was leaps & bounds above any of their offerings at that time! IMO, it ranks darned close to Tamiya or Hasegawa -- the too dark 'glass' and the BFG's its only weak points.
