  1. The headlight lashes make me chuckle. Pretty convincing all the way around and nothing below your usual high quality work. One of a kind. Wish I had your goat barn, but I don't envy maintaining all that fencing.
  2. Beautiful car. Well done.
  3. As does abandoning the kit's glass roof. It may be less showy but is immensely more appropriate and sympathetic to the rest of the car's lines. The perfect choice.
  4. Great looking combo. Hits all the right notes.
  5. I like your thinking. The body looks great, did you need two roofs?
  6. Euphemisms aren't enough, but stunning, beautiful, striking come to mind. Your hard work paid off, you should be proud.
  7. I tried watching it three times (even at different points in my life, for perspective) in the comfort of my own home and never made it to the end. While I'm fully prepared to invest my time into eclectic art films, this one is designed to slowly and methodically deconstruct and torture your psyche. Who wants to sit through that for an hour and a half?
  8. What a fun departure, so creative. What scale is it?
  9. Glad to hear. I hope it serves your needs as well as it has mine. It can't hurt, right? While I've been away I did lower it, maybe a scale three inches. I'm reluctant to go too low because I don't see many (era appropriate) classic customs in the weeds the way we see them today. But it definitely can't stay the way it is. I've also been carving on a bubble top and like what I'm seeing. I Just need more opportunities for bench time and pic posting.
  10. Yeah, looks like Inspector Callahan should step out and dominate. Enjoyed the build thread too. Good work.
  11. How exotic. Really beautiful. Not to be ignored is your excellent presentation. Well done sir.
  12. Amazing and impressive project. A special thank you for helping me identify pieces in my parts box.
  13. Fascinating and frightening about the brush cleaner and lenses. Was your cleaner something like acetone or lacquer thinner? What would be so hot as to dissolve plastic with a touch?
  14. Glad to see this one built up. I have this kit and since proportions are a bit clunky I've been reluctant to invest the time into building it. Seeing yours gives me ideas for what I could do with mine. Color is great and reminds me of the rare blue offered on '86 Pontiac Fieros.
  15. No WAY. Are you kidding? Scorsese, Griffin Dunne, Catherine O'Hara... Delicious dark humor, satire, four out of four stars from Roger Ebert, Best Director at Cannes, one of my favorites ?
  16. They're too perfect. I'm going home.
  17. I liked him in The Fifth Element because he brought comic strength to his scenes, where everybody else (in those scenes) were more cartoon characters.
  18. This falls squarely in the domain of Elon Musk or what's the fundamental point of SpaceX, and don't say money because I don't believe billionaire bucks has ever been his sole motivation.
  19. Congratulations to Oldmopars for defending last year's championship and securing two wins in a row!
  20. Leading from the start, Oldmopars barreled past the nimble contenders and never stopped. With a full 25-percent of the votes, he finished well enough ahead of the pack that he had time to change into a fresh shirt, empty his pee bottle and sip a lovely beverage with a bamboo umbrella. Mind you, he is the defending champion, garnering two wins in a row. Crossing the finish line in a tit-for-tat all out drag, Belugawrx in his "Gumball Rally" Cobra and 89AKurt in his "Thomas Crown Affair" Ferrari 275 tied for second, with 12-percent of the vote for each. Big thanks to Anthony (disconovaman) for keeping this thread engaged this year.
  21. I've had a little time to do some mockup assembly, keep in mind that many of the pieces are just set together and are mocked on only one side. It looks okay, but it's not the warm fuzzy I was hoping for. Need to think about this a little. Wheels and tires are custom parts from the '65 Riviera, I'll be adding spinners. Tires might be a little big, need work on the front corners and a tick lower stance, headrest pods aren't as cool as I thought and the trunk lid is quite long. Might rethink the bubble top or an elongated dorsal divider of some sort.
  22. 57 years exposed to the elements in an earthquake and hurricane prone area seems like a pretty good run.
