  1. Congratulations! I can agree with you! I should be done tonight as well! Glass in and drying right now!
  2. I was working with BMF today. I have a couple of sheets that have been previously used. I don’t know exactly how old they are. The adhesive was tough on the first sheet. It left a heavy glue mess behind where I removed excess. I removed it with 80% alcohol and then BMF Polish. It was tough to get off the backing, would break up easily. The second sheet worked better. It had big wrinkles in the middle, but as I worked around that mess, it came off the backing easily and applied well. Ive never has a sheet that would’ve stick.
  3. You can always sell kits on a Facebooks group.
  4. Congrats! I am just taking a break from BMF on the Studebaker. It’s looking good! Much further along than ever before!
  5. I know exactly who you mean! He also has said the day he dies, all his models go in the dumpster! Just looking for attention!
  6. Wow! That is pretty! The slant six is over the top! I have one of those wagons tucked away!
  7. Raccoons or exterminators?
  8. Wow I really started a traffic rant! Change of topic.. I’ve been power washing and what’s really driving me nutz is how the power cord, the hose and spray hose all attack and intertwine like sparring snakes? ! No matter how I try to separate them, next time I look down, there’s the friggin tangle again! And the kicker.. the Ryobi power washer cord and spray hose are listed as “no tangle”. But there they are with tangles and kinks! ???
  9. An update that was posted on Facebook.
  10. Just a couple quick shots to see how it looks on the chassis. Paint still feels fragile, I’ll let it set overnight.
  11. Putting color on my Studebaker yesterday. I had the hood, trunk and two doors each on their own base. As I was moving a part from the spray booth to the drying table, I reached over one of the newly painted doors and put a palm print on it! Cursed, let it dry. Sanded it out this morning and reshot.
  12. Looks great! You pretty much nailed the radiator support! Let’s see that Jeep progress!
  13. I should be finished by June 32nd too! ?
  14. Keep moving! It will only show up once you stop looking for it! Is the Corvette a screw bottom? Just pop it together without the screws (or glue as the situation dictates) and when the tail light decides to reappear, put it in and seal it up. In the meantime, get it done! ? News Bulletin- I checked on Studebaker and clear still feels too new to BMF. I also noticed an area on the body with poor clear coverage so I just gave everything another squirt! Opened a new can of Tamiya Clear- fortunately I had three cans in inventory!
  15. Just a quick bench shot this morning…. Duplicolor red looks even but needed some shine in some areas so I gave it a squirt of Tamiya Clear.
  16. Back before cell phone cameras I used to pass a paint shop that had a lot on one side full of decommissioned police cars that appear to have just been purchased at auction. The lot on the other side was full of shiny yellow taxis. Great diorama idea!
  17. As I’ve always thought, BMF buys the foil, maybe on a roll, cuts and packages it. The actual foil is produced by another party, and BMF Company.. and our entire hobby.. is dependent on their production. That explains the changes over the years. BMF was much easier to use 30 years ago when I first started. Seems I could foil anything back then. I even did entire bumpers with a single piece.
  18. A Vicky with a trunk! It does naturally flow. Too bad Ford didn’t think of it.
