  1. Steveracer, posting takes a lot less time than building/photographing! Got a few more here in the "Under Glass" section, but this one is one of my favorites. There's something satisfying in the simplicity of these Monogram kits; the way they come alive with detail painting is just cool to me. I think the next one I build, I will scratch up some larger diameter exhaust pipes, Monogram's pipes all look a bit skinny. (1/24 kits) I think they all come with a wonky hood. Is your build on here somewhere?
  2. Long time lurker here, I have precious little time to build as much as I'd like. Nonetheless, I DO occasionally finish one! I'll be posting a few that I just removed from storage after a few life changes and moves. While finished kits when they went into storage, a few small parts are MIA, but will be replaced as I come across them. This one wears Prowler wheels and tires, and did have a hard cover on the bed. Decided to mimic blackout covers for the headlights...

  7. Dang epoxy went on so clear, but yellowed my headlights over the years. Don't know where my convertible boot went... also my rear view mirror...

  9. Oooh, that is looking NICE!
  10. Boy the memories this thread conjured up! I remember getting 2 of those Camaros for Christmas, from 2 different aunts. ( they knew me well enough!) I thought those headers were the craziest thing ever, and the odd tires were like nothing I'd seen in all my 10 or 11 years . This would have been around 1972 or 73, and these were the first model cars I tried to build "dirty", via Testors flat tan flicked from an old toothbrush. It looked real enough! Now I GOTTA have 'em again!
  11. Welcome to the forum! Nice work on the Heller kit, and I LOVE that color! Looking forward to seeing more of your builds.
  12. Fun build! Your flames work just fine with this caricature style of kit.
  13. Great eye for weathering realistically; not overdone. Nice work.
  14. Beautiful! Those colors are just soothing to the eyes.
  15. It turned out really nice. Fun watching this one come together!
  16. Fool-proof recipe for a Hot Rod: Red and chrome. NICE!
  17. Be the first!
  18. Cool project, think I'll follow!
  19. Very attractive car and model; especially like that shade of gray.
  20. NICE. So many of these gave up their chassis for Chevelle kits, I didn't know anyone ever actually built one! Well done.
  21. Beautiful build! Agree that this particular body does favor a red paint job.
  22. Sharp 'vette build; love the gold.
  23. COOL! Wasn't aware this Skylark kit existed, such a good looking car! Thanks for sharing this nice build.
  24. Cool to save an old kit like this! I really like the x-planes.
  25. Looks like zinc oxide, used in etching primers, often seen in aircraft interiors over aluminum.
