  1. Love these not-often-seen-built planes. Very cool styling on this one, looks so purposeful and solid.
  2. Looking at your floor pan, you may want to pull back on your spraying technique. I'm seeing a lot of puddling of paint in low areas, and paint drawing away from high points and edges. This is what happens when you spray paint too heavy/wet hoping for quick coverage. Light mist coats first, with ample dry time between will yield a much better finished appearance. Some paints are worse than others exhibiting this effect, but the cure is the same for all. Your build is looking very nice so far, I'd hate to see the paint bring it down! Good luck and keep it coming!
  3. I think the chrome wheels add a splash of bling! White cars can look plain; but I get it for a stock car racer that the steel wheels would be "right", BUT, a vinyl top on a race car? Nope.
  4. Engine and exhaust paint and detailing look especially nice.
  5. You had a great modeling year! Love your color choices, and the fact you build the big cars I remember as a kid. Very tasteful custom work, as well!
  6. A fine year! If I may ask, what color/paint did you use on the Mopar?
  7. Congrats! These are NICE!!
  8. That is such a stylish color combo; very attractive! Beautiful work here.
  9. Nice choice! Looking forward to your progress on this one; a great looking jet even today! I have a few of the classic Monogram 1/48 kits, and they can build nicely, but I'm really anxious to see how this one looks. Following.
  10. I spy a couple of He-111s in your stash; one of my favorite warplanes, it just looks menacing even when sitting still.
  11. Shaping up nicely!
  12. That is beautiful!
  13. Actually, the '64 base interior is fairly close to the '63 SS interior. I'd start there, and re-scribe a bit as needed.
  14. At that scale, you can almost build a real boat just as quickly!? Should look sweet when done; looks like you are meticulous in your craftsmanship.
  15. Very nice paint work. I really loved the whole Universal Monsters series when I was a kid, and this is one I was never able to lay my hands on. My mom knew to buy pretty much any Aurora kit, and it was a guaranteed home-run gift in my eyes! I even had duplicates of some, and I'd build one with the glow-in-the-dark parts, and one without. Favorite monster was Creature from The Black Lagoon, but most fun build was Dr. Jekyll as Mr. Hyde because of all the cool lab accessories. Forgotten Prisoner was one I had two or three of! Thanks for the memories! Do more, you have a deft hand for it!
  16. As much as I love a red Chevelle, they do wear other colors so nicely, as exemplified here! Great job!

Hats off to you for building this beast. Heck, hats off to you for even starting this beast. This kit is the bane of my existence; it is my Moby Dick, my Darth Vader, and some hybridized thing even worse than either. It is Darth Dick, and is the reason my eyes twitch and my heart skips a beat before I open any model kit box now. It promises much more than it can deliver, but you have managed to whip it into an actual car model. You are my hero. You can build ANYTHING!

Nice; and that is a cool shade of green. Mind sharing the paint color?
  19. Very clean build of a great looking car. Love it!
  20. Well crafted; very realistic!
  21. You still got a leftover van to build! Would make a nice common-kit subject for a community build; maybe a Cannonball Run vans-only thing, Vannonball, baby!
  22. Ooooh, that is SEXY!
  23. Nice choice of wheels/tires and color; doesn't the the old girl look good in dark gray/black?!
  24. Nice! Love the color choices here, and the paint looks expertly applied.
