  1. Gotta throw in a vote for the Monogram Thunderbird. It's a good looking car, and Monogram's approach to simplifying some assemblies means most of your detail work will come from careful painting, which is a big plus given the time constraint. I'll bet that one is even molded in red, so polish it, foil a little, and paint the rest. Besides, T-birds are cool!
  2. Nice! What a good looking little truck; I gotta snag one of those! Love the shades of gray scheme.
  3. Super clean build, and a gorgeous color expertly laid down. Love it!
  4. My first thought was one of those lacquer-based putties from a tube. Yeah, the catalyzed stuff is fairly fool proof; I use it all the time at work. This one's a real head-scratcher!
  5. You said you used a glazing putty under the primer, if I read correctly. Was it a single stage product, or the type that requires a catalyst mixed in? Some glazing putties from a tube can take quite a while to FULLY cure, even though the surface dries fairly quickly. I think you may have solvents from your putty slowing the dry of your primer.
  6. Wow!! First; what a beautiful bike, it just looks so solid and sturdy, like a Panzer on two wheels. Second; What a cool model! And lastly; fantastic upgrade to the details you are doing here! Will follow this one with interest! Best of luck to you!
  7. Nice. The details captured by some resin manufacturers just blows me away. Out of curiosity, could you show the Tamiya parts you replaced with resin? I'm guessing they're not too shabby?! Following this build!
  8. Nice; also love the Popsicle trusses!
  9. This is very well done! You should do a tutorial on your technique for the broken glass; that is especially convincing. Teach us!!
  10. Loved watching this one come together! Beautiful gold color; a perfect fit for this custom.
  11. Red Mustangs are always cool!
  12. Cool conversion! More, please!
  13. Nice! What a great piece to have on your shelf; a real attention grabber!
  14. Great job! Love the color choices!
  15. Nice build! The cockpit area looks especially convincing. Sticking with it paid off!! I've got one or two of these in the stash, as well as a Hobby Craft version, but have yet to work them in to the rotation. I hope I can achieve your level of finish.
  16. Congrats on a good year, man! These are top-shelf builds, and I have to echo the feelings of others here that the Olds is just GORGEOUS! You really nailed a realistic appearance, and the colors are outstanding. Like 'em all, but the Warbucks Falcon is another personal fave, and you did her much justice. REALLY looking forward to seeing what you accomplish this year!
  17. Here's another option possible via the file and a little bondo: Diggin' this build!
  18. Oh yeah, that is looking MUCH better!
  19. Glitterbug was my first ever Deal's Wheels kit as a kid, and remains one of my favorites to this day. Really nice job you've done here, that flake is groovy!
  20. Really nice!
  21. Picked up a couple of these kits just for the nice 1/24 hot rod parts for older kits, but this makes a very nice display piece as you've built it. Good job!
  22. Ditto! The more I look at the color, the more I like it; very out-of-the-ordinary, and just very attractive two-tone in general!
