  1. Fun build, love the body style, will be following!
  2. Don't forget some kind of headers to let all that fresh breath exhale!
  3. This is coming together nicely; digging the period-correct approach. Going to pancake that hood?
  4. Thanks guys!
  5. Nice model, and a very nice shade of blue to show it off!
  6. That is too cool!
  7. Ha! Absolutely the worst ever. I can't open the box and stir through the parts without hating myself for buying it. I got suckered into buying it by the timing of the release; back in the 90s or early 2000s when Lindberg was enjoying a renaissance of sorts with their newly tooled '61 Impalas, '67 Olds, SnapFit Crown Vic police car, Dodge Dakota, Chrysler Minivan, etc.. These were pretty nice kits of different subject matter, and I got 'em all. Then, one day, I see this Lincoln kit with a beautiful pic of the actual car on the box ( shoulda been a red flag, I know) and I thought OH YEAH, this will be nice. Nope. Oh man, no. Re-release of an old Pyro kit with multi-piece body and all. The chrome grille oddly enough has better looking detail on the backside than the front. I still hurt.
  8. Beautiful save, and beautiful car. Well done!

Excellent little hot rod; just enough shine and natural metal finishes for contrast, and how CLEAN! Love it.
  10. Oh yeah! VERY nice Impala model; does everything right. Is it me, or is the black strip in the center of the side chrome just an optical illusion, caused by reflections and shadow, or did you Sharpie it in? Either way, it looks superb!!
  11. Wow! With a the right background, this could be mistaken for the real deal. Fantastic modeling here.
  12. Pretty cool! This kit always looked to me a bit uninspiring in the box, but as you've shown it cleans up NICE! Color does everything for this body, and that is a really great choice you've made. Well done!
  13. Thanks, everyone, for the encouraging words!
  14. Thanks all!
  15. Ha! I didn't realize I overlooked those! I will correct that, and let me complement your build of the GTX!
  16. Very nice build, and beautiful yellow gold finish.
  17. Love it! Nice idea and build, it reminds me of something the Forestry Service might have used way back when...
  18. Those are some of the nicest flame decals ever, and I don't understand why kit manufactures have had such a hard time producing good looking flame decals. One of the most timeless paint customizations ever, and for decades we were given some truly pitiful attempts in our kits! These really work for that El Camino like they were made for it, and accent your clean build perfectly. Great work!
  19. Beautiful car and model. I love how far you took this kit; just outstanding.
  20. Thanks, guys! I like Chevy's Rally wheels on just about anything; simple but attractive style. I ran them on my '81 Monte Carlo back in the late 80s, and my '63 Biscayne before that.
  21. Looking at your build makes me want one, the body is quickly growing on me! Looking at the box, I would never have even considered it. Well done build.
  22. Not my normal cup of tea, but DANG that is SWEEEET! I wasn't even aware Revell offered this kit, now I may need to search one out. Super clean build, perfect colors!
  23. I could totally see someone over here doing such a thing back then! Not a great time in our auto history, when next year's model was last year's model with gaudier decal package. Your build is nice and clean and fun!
